So Nickel Creek had this great idea for a cover. They took Billy Joel's worst song, the one that's going to keep him out of heaven, and did a cover of it. They changed the rhythm, melody, tune and chord progression. They also changed the lyrics completely. If only they would also burn all copies of the record, they might have redeemed the song.VIDEO VIDEO

Llamo, obscure/unfunny Seinfelch references should be a separate thread. Scroll down and look at the ones nobody is interested in.

Most covers aren't better or worse, just different. This cover of Honky Tonkin' isn't necessarily ''better'' but it is delightfully different.VIDEO

VIDEO This is a cover of the Animals who were doing a cover of Bob Dylan's cover of a traditional folk song. If you want to hear the folk song, check out the Woody Guthrie version. I particularly like this version, because the band (from Detroit) reminds me of a better America. MAGA

Not been here in ages, but this was a good thread and still is. Gonna plug AV Club's Undercover series because it's great, and this is better than whatever Weezer is doing these days.VIDEO
