New rule has been installed:

26. A player may challenge down the Ladder, no more than five (5) rungs. If the Down Challenger (DC) wins, he/she will move down to the new rung. If the player being challenged wins, they will move up one spot and the DC will not move at all. (Probationary Rule set to expire on May 20, 2019.

Hi, just trying to wrap my head around this one ...

If I Challenge someone lower than me and I WIN ... I get moved DOWN the ladder to where the Challenged player (Loser) is located as opposed to moving UP 1 step for winning the match?

If the Challenged Player (Lower player on the Ladder) WINS the match they move up 1 step as opposed to moving UP to be ahead of my place on the ladder?

I would look at the reward from the view of normal challenges .... consider it as if the lower player was making the challenge ... basically BOTH players are fighting to move to a location ABOVE the current location of the Higher player on the ladder. If the Lower player wins he moves up to be placed above the Higher player and IF the Higher player wins he would be moved up one step.

I image a work around to avoid the risk of FALLING 5 steps could be to PM the person I was about to challenge and ask THEM to challenge me instead?

Unfortunately, the Ladder works on a smoke signal system and landlines were found to be unreliable when Ma Bell went defunct...LOL
