you left out some key notations on your Dictionary.com reference for hillbilly..
1st - "( sometimes used facetiously )
2nd - 'the Usage Notes' .. " Hillbilly is often used with a disparaging intent and perceived as insulting implying that a person who lives far away from a town or city lacks culture or education"

so when Elaterate states Hillbilly is a race / ethnicity.. he gives the word hillbilly a definition applicable to a race of people. hence it became a racial reference.
then when the other un-named member stated hillbillies were "not pure and would hump anything". .. hillbilly became a slur..
those 2 statements combined together stated back to back in GC took the word hillbilly and turned it into a word that is describing a race of people in a derogatory manner..
thus turning Hillbilly into a racial slur...

maybe Elaterate didn't apply it to white people. pick a race of people.. it doesn't matter.. he applied Race to it.. combined with the slur of not being 'Pure'.. it got turned into a racial slur.. simple as that..

Context is everything though.

I don't know the specifics from your little case here but if E did in fact state hillbillies is a race (he is wrong but w/e) and mystery man number 1 called the race of people E just made up not pure you could have a point. The point being it is not ok and a racial slur. Not Hillbilly though, that is not the racial slur. Saying a race, any race is not pure is your racial slur. If the intent was to make slurs at country folks by referring to them as a not pure race then it is racist, even though they are not actually a race.

The racist part here though is not E, it is your mystery man. E can still go along saying hillbillies as much as he wishes as long as he is not referring to people negatively by doing so.

Most words can be used offensively under the wrong context.

I clearly stated previously to evil semp the original complaint I private messaged him about was involving the un-named member who stated hillbillies are not pure after Elaterate referred to them as a race / ethnicity.. these were back -to-back messages in GC.. at the time of the conversation I referenced 'ethnic slurs'.. but what I have been learning and trying to figure out is there are not any racial slurs that can be noted pertaining to white people that are considered racial slurs as far as GC is concerned.. every single time I even attempt to talk about it or question it.. a mod will tell me to shut up deal with it and give me a 'stop or else' ultimatum...
rule 7 states 'any form of racism even reverse racism'.. if a mod would give an official stance on the meaning of the terminology that reverse racism is entailing & what is considered to fall under that part of rule 7.. it would be appreciated. .but the only thing I have been getting is obvious distain from mods towards me for even talking about it..

Seems like you might of been baiting the "racial slurs" there. Why even say "posting ethnic slurs is againist GC rules " when all E said was he wanted to be a Hillbilly and that they where the best.

Even then, fairly minor. Probably worth a warning but not the least bit surprised one did not happen.

The reason your being ignored and told to stop is because your making a huge deal over a relatively minor one off incident.

Now if this became a regular occurrence where members where bashing hillbillies i am sure the mods would step in and stop it. But for now this seems like a one off inappropriate comment the mods lets slide that has not caused a reoccurring problem.
