So far on the ladder, Elric, you have owned me. Maybe the fact that Erik "has your soul" or is the keeper of it, will help me win this match?? ;)

I guess Elaterate would have to beat Erik for me not to being going after you two ways.
Wow ... now you are trying to go after both myself and the current keeper of my soul???

Beware my Lord ... my soul will be searching for ways to return to Master!

And I claim DIBS on first place
However, it was only on 21 Jan 2019 08:48 that El posted his games against Erik for which he had dibs and as such, he still had dibs both times that Bobby called it.

Just as there can be no challenges where the 3rd game is still being played, there can be only one dibbed player. Therefor both of Bobby's dibs calls were premature and a violation of the rules stating only one dibs at a time.

So...dibs!!!

If 2 player fog game, please allow 12 hour snap courtesy, or post what I could have seen.... Thank you

I beat dhallmeyer 2-1

Game 18817280
Game 18817276
Game 18818347

I challenge xroads.

Also, is bobbythomson really 3-7 in matches? How is he in third with a high of first with that record?

Ok...Got the match and new challenge recorded.

When the blind reset took place, Bobby wound up #2...The video is towards the bottom of Page 135.

On another note...I'm putting a temporary moratorium on DIBS until I can investigate MGSteve's claim further.

I did want to be a "hippie" (sorta) at one point in my life but it conflicted with being in Law School! LOL I grew a very awesome beard and let my hair (I had some then) grow pretty long. One of my fellow students pointed out the obvious conflict between thinking one wanted to be a hippie and being in Law School. Not to mention other differences in life style, but since I was going to Law School in California, I celebrated grandly with my fellow students when marijuana was decriminalized during my last year in Law School there.

I did not deserve by merit to be near the top of the ladder and would never have been up there without the lottery. But since the reset, I have a record of 3-3. (1-1 with Celliottii, 1-0 with russde, 1-0 with Steve, and 0-1 with Elric and 0-1 with Lord).

Don't worry guys, I am already on the downspiral - having a rough time beating Elric.

I think Steve is right here. Hippie beats lawyer every time! :D

In looking back at what happened, I think even though Lord and Elric's result was posted before I sent DIBS (4 am ish versus 6 am ish on the 21st), my DIBS would not be valid until Elaterate exercised his DIBS and posted his games.

Question (for future reference) : how long does a DIBBER have to post his games?

Let the hippie have a crack at Lord I say! (plus it scares me to think of taking possession, never mind holding, Elric's soul!).

PS - "I toldja so" is still a good defense everywhere. But here is the winning brief:
However, it was only on 21 Jan 2019 08:48 that El posted his games against Erik for which he had dibs and as such, he still had dibs both times that Bobby called it.

A minor correction on my record though - it should be 4-7 (was 1-4 on the last ladder).

I've always tried to follow the credo of once the match for #1 is over and posted, then I immediately record the new challenge from whoever has DIBS and repost that DIBS is open. I try to send whoever had DIBS a note to let them know.

I also went back and looked at the Ladder posts regarding MGSteve's claim to have been missed for DIBS...and he is correct. Therefore, I have removed DIBS from bobbythomson and have given MGSteve DIBS.

The moratorium is lifted once MGSteve's challenge for #1 is officially posted.
