I want to throw this out there for discussion...I'm not saying this is going to change anything, but I found it quite interesting...
One of our Ladder members tossed out the idea of 2 v 2 team Ladder matches. Here's the kicker though...you team up with the player who is either below or above you when you make the challenge.
For example...the current top 6 are:
bobbythomson
Russde
ElricTheGreat
celliottii
benga
Lord Arioch
benga and Lord Arioch would team up and could challenge Russde and ETG...or benga and celliottii could challenge Russ and ETG.
A lot of things would have to be figured out, but this could be a new evolution of the Ladder or even a new Ladder...I don't know.
What I do like is that the teams would always be changing with every challenge.
Well since i was drunk and suggested it im for it would be fun i think to play tag team with different people same rules, just the twist of teams ... 1 up or 1 below then u challenge as usual ... no need to complicate things:)

Thoughts?
Love the idea but I think a new ladder would be needed..... Thoughts on how to deal with seeding after a match - Whoever is knocked out of the game first would get the lowest seed possible and whoever, if anyone (from winning team), gets the random conquer star when the game starts and/or ends gets the highest seed

Im letting u guys chew it over since im notoriously bad at that thinky stuff
That is exactly what I meant... better explanation... #6 & #7 challenge #4 & #5 and win... instead of just simply switching them #6 to #4, #7 to #5 and vise versa... if #4 gets knocked out first he/she would move to #7 instead of #6... if #7 got the random conquer star at the start or finish of them game they would move up to #4 instead of #5 for winning the game and #6 would move to #5 instead of #4... hope that's more clear
I like the random team idea better then the set team idea but with set teams you wouldn't have to deal with seeding conflicts like this and would be much easier for the person running it IMO
3 or 4 of you put your heads together in PM's, and then send me a proposal. It's probably going to be a separate animal, but work out the details and the leadership will consider it.
A. Like the current ladder, a player making a challenge may pick anyone up to 3 rungs above or below him as mate, and any two players up to 3 rungs above himself or the mate he picks.
1. See how the 3 rung idea is more difficult with 4 players?
B. Challenging player must pick 1 of 3 rungs below him only as mate and may challenge any 2 from (a) 3 rungs above or (b) 6 rungs above.
1. Okay, fine. Make it 4 or 5 rungs above. See if I care.
Advancing
A. If challenger wins, he advances to highest oppo's rung and mate advances to lower oppo's rung.
1. If challenger is eliminated and mate wins, mate goes to higher rung and challenger to lower or does not advance.
Notes: We may want to not consider eliminations since it's part of the course of winning. We may also want to consider 5 games to a match with challenger setting up 1st two games as we do now and each of the other players setting up one as now.
