Alright, it seems to me we have a pretty decent case for a day 1.

Blech I just reread my pm and realized that the way it is worded makes it highly unlikely that the third one is the way this game is setup since it seems there is an actual town whom are considered the 'civilized' nations. So my *new* theory is that it's the second option and the reason that these civs are 'uncivilzed' is because they are trying to take over the world whereas the civilized civs are trying to live in relative peace.

I'm buying it, especially because Samlen posted this quickly after his initial theorizing and before anyone accused him.

If your answer is because the game is a FFA then that is not good enough. My objective in this game is very clear and if you are not aligned with the town objective then you are th enemy vote benga

I don't have anything about uncivilized in pm, I draw my conclusion from my experience with civ games and about dakky from my past experience with him.

Re-reading last few pages I noticed I did bring up the possibility of uncivilized nations and even said my PM said so, but actually I was very wrong. There was no mention of uncivilized, that's just what I assumed as the opposite to civilized is ... uncivilized. So barbarians and similar bad guys should be possible as well.

Benga, maybe it is that English is not your first language so your meaning has been misconstrued but that is not what you said. You said ' guess we all have different objectives then' and suggested there is a FFA element - basing these comments on what Samlen also incorrectly posted. My guess is one of you is scum who has slipped up but I am focusing* my attentions on you for now because there have been a couple of other things you have done that I have found questionable. Now you have bastardised your initial statement by saying we all do as in you meant town, third party and Mafia - that is not a case of us all having different objectives or 'FFA' but only three separate potential objectives. By saying we all have different objectives suggested to me that you didn't get a town PM.

I don't see much value in the flavour claim TBH because it could go either way, but it did add up to his attempts of cozying up to dakky which also seemed weird? Regardless of if he was actually claiming Germany and now backtracking or just humouring dakky, and while I never played Civ, one look at the wiki tells me there's a big number of civs Masket could have pulled from, which means there are no "sure town" claims. Masket could have given scum full fake claims, or just Civ names he didn't use for town, or neither. Best case scenario, Benga turning up scum would definitely eliminate the first option and make the second unlikely.
I dunno about the doc thing, it's a scummy thing to point out but that I could see as a noob move also. The rest, not so much.

I know what you're saying, I guess I just thought Benga also thought it didn't make any sense, thus resulting in the question. Obviously most think Benga instead just has no idea about the game setup, meaning he is likely scum, which combined with his other statements is possible. It's as good as any other day 1 case so far anyway

Most compelling case so far today. Not in a rush to end day yet plus I'd like to see benga's response to this, but doesn't seem likely that a better case will come up so unless benga comes up with a really convincing defense, i'll be voting him.

One extra thing to note. Him being a survivor might be why he doesn't know what he should know. That said. At worst he's a survivor, and at best he's mafia. Sounds like a safe lynch to me.

One thing I must wonder is if this mafia game is based on a particular civilisation game, or all of them; as Celts only appears in an expansion for Civ 5.
They are not exactly the top of the lists of likely nations to be here, however Benga's manner does also match that of a confused surivor.

Yes it would make sense. But in this game 3rd party still isn't worth much, and that is if he is 3rd party which it's hard to tell.
