Show me where I soft claimed anything... Again, you are skimming and attributing things to the wrong people...

I can see I've picked up a few votes, but for anyone else watching, I think Mandy's story clue here is important.
Those kid trainers are almost 100% certain to be 'town' trainers. As for Team Rocket, while yes, it's likely they'll be here, it's by no means guaranteed. Giovanni I would say is likely sitting in the 'godfather' role, but he was never really a 'trainer' per se. More like a businessman who constantly got he lackies doing his work for him.
Talapus wrote:Minister Masket wrote:
In a nutshell, I don't believe those are good enough odds to target what you believe is a trainer. You're more likely to hit town.
So your assumption is then that the majority of the pokemon are then town aligned? And I'm sorry, lost again so hopefully someone can fill in. But, why wouldn't team rocket be considered kid trainers? I thought in the game they were the same age as Ash and the rest?

Sounds to me like Gary Oak is in this game, and if you had read the Day 1 story arc, you'd know this.

This line you are menioning... Yeah, this happened BEFORE the typo... Are you actually reading these posts in chronological order? It doesn't seem as if you are...
So far, you yourself have offered NOTHING... All you have done is attack and criticize EVERY other player. Where are your points about possible game setups, mechanics, general mafia craziness? I caught Maskets question and other people seem to agree, so, at the very least, I have contributed. All you have done is complained and made snide comments...
If you really are town, you should rethink your position.
@madmitch... Your constant argument is you "don't know much about pokemon." Well I literally know nothing... I am way out of the age group that Pokemon was ever focused on, and so are a few other gamers here... Quit using it as an excuse. It has NO bearing on how people are playing. What it does do, however, is make you look like you are looking for an out about contributing... And that is scummy.

If so why would anyone bring up team rocket when we all know they are scum? was it a slip or are they as mentioned before looking for town cred? H ow many teams are there? As someone else asked are the trainers fighting against other trainers? How many trainers are there? and are there pokemons without trainers? These questions must be answered before we get a good sense who to go after. Can someone answer any of these questions?

What you know or don't know about the flavour of a game has no bearing at all, whether Pokemon or Ming Dynasty China, the same general rules apply: find and kill mafia. The questions you were asking had nothing to do with that, as a town all the info you need to get going is given to you at the start, the only reason you would ask for more info (i.e. how many factions, how many in a faction, make up of factions, etc.) is if you are scum looking for information that would inform your decisions for night actions.

Its questionable that Team Rocket are in this game? Tim has claimed during the start of this game that he knows pokemon well, so how can he be surprised by the idea of Team Rocket? Likely answer is that he IS team rocket and wants to pretend to have no knowledge of such.

No, likely answer is that he's being a bit silly and trying to catch scum for knowing 'more than they should.'
WingCmdr Ginkapo wrote:FIrst things first. There are generally two major scumfails day 1.
The first is those who know a lot D1 about the mechanics of the game. Samlem falls into this category in this game. He claims to have pieced it together on conjecture alone, but somehow made quite a few leaps of logic. Scum tend to know a lot more D1 than others due to more informative role descriptions.

And they have to kill the other trainers to win the game (i.e outcompete the others) - seems like the sort of mad stuff Mandy would do.

Aggressive players are great for town, since they tend to force players slip up and make mistakes, but I haven't seen a properly logical accusation from you yet.
They just seem to be attempts to start bandwagons, which is just plain dangerous. If it weren't for the fact that Mitch is playing scummier, I'd be voting you for said reasons.
And finally Vote Madmitch
Samlen wrote:So it seems the *main* reason people are still voting minister is because.... he slipped that he's a trainer? That seems highly illogicial considering the evidence that we have that at some/most trainers are townsided...
I believe that most, or even all, of the people voting Minister right now are either another trainer trying to eliminate competition, or scum also trying to eliminate competition.
Out of all the people voting him, Madmitch certainly has the least concrete of reasons by blatantly bandwagoning, so he will be earning my vote. I'd keep an eye on the others voting him too, since they could just as easily be scum.
