In some, sick and perverted way, it does make me feel better. I prefer to like people who like us. And clearly I don't ...Serbia wrote:If it makes you feel any better, I removed my "Like" a long time ago.

well, the important thing is, the clan world is still chugging along playing games with those cement settings they so desperately forced upon the site... as long as that is going strong, who cares about the rest?!!! the black jesus has spoken... nothing to see here, move along...-Bjtzor wrote:In some, sick and perverted way, it does make me feel better. there are about 10 very valid and excellent ideas, different variations of the same ideas, that have been floating about for years... they are soundly ignored...tzor wrote:Bah humbug. We need NEW BLOOD.

Now if we can only get them to stay.

What does clans have anything to do with it?owenshooter wrote:well, the important thing is, the clan world is still chugging along playing games with those cement settings they so desperately forced upon the site... as long as that is going strong, who cares about the rest?!!! the black jesus has spoken... nothing to see here, move along...-Bjtzor wrote:In some, sick and perverted way, it does make me feel better. poor grammar aside, that is one of the funniest statements ever echoed on this site, and still falls patently false as it is a blatant lie. clans, and their pushing of cement settings on the site, have everything to do with it. the change from a casual gaming site to a cement site, where games went from a day or two to a MONTH OR MORE, falls flatly on the lap of the clans. throw in the changing of the freestyle rule and that entire community (almost a full 1/3rd of CC) vanishing almost overnight, and you have to two major factors in CC's decline. to make it clear for you:xroads wrote:What does clans have anything to do with it?
If anything, clans keep many players involved as they feel a part of something.
yes they did. search is your friend. you weren't here for it, you are getting the cc cleansed version of the facts. and now, can we stay on topic? aside from clans ruining CC with their cement setting edict, there have been several plausible and valid ideas to turn the decline around. are they ignored like the suggestions forum is ignored, simply because nobody is literally placed in charge of that forum? are the ideas that have been poured out and fine tuned in this forum, also falling on deaf ears? do i need to sent a truck full o' gator chips to get some sort of response?!!-BjDonelladan wrote:You wanna blame the decline on the clans, go ahead, but do it with valid argument. I don't think so, but others, like owen, may disagree. Too many folks have left and too much time has passed. I'm sure most of them have moved onto other internet distractions. I would love for it to do so, however!jmyork82 wrote:if we fixed the freestyle rule, do you think people would come back, owen?
by some accounts, a full 1/3rd of the site vanished with the rule change. why did we change it? because guys like Blitzaholic found it impossible to catch guys like Rabbiton and King Herpes, when they were at the top of the board!!! Rabbit would rattle off 100 straight without a loss in a few days, there was no way a sequential player could ever top the leader board... King Herpes point gap above the closest player was so immense, he could have sat out for over a month and nobody would have taken over the top spot.jmyork82 wrote:if we fixed the freestyle rule, do you think people would come back, owen?

If this game was ever fun to you though, at some point you poke back in to see whats up. I did a few times before coming back. Porn is an internet distraction, but still find my way back here.Butters1919 wrote:I don't think so, but others, like owen, may disagree. Too many folks have left and too much time has passed. I think the mods did the right thing to make the game more fair. A freestyle speed game back then was a completely different type of gameplay versus the turn based strategy involved in the core of this game. Although, I do agree with you that a scoreboard for that style of play would have definitely been a relevant solution. I see where the counterargument for that comes into play, but that is a "slippery slope" argument, which annoys me most of the time.owenshooter wrote:by some accounts, a full 1/3rd of the site vanished with the rule change. why did we change it? because guys like Blitzaholic found it impossible to catch guys like Rabbiton and King Herpes, when they were at the top of the board!!! so what happened? the weight of THOTA and certain MODS pressed down on the site and the freestyle rules were changed, to make it more "FAIR" to guys like blitz. the real solution was a scoreboard for freestyle players (there were that many), but then people argued we would need boards for all types of games. regardless, when they killed freestyle, the site took arguably it's biggest hit... is it too late? who knows?!! freestyle was awesome, even if you were a freemium!!! you could play freestyle speed games ALL FREAKING DAY LONG, it was great for people that loved that sort of thing... anyway, rambling... the black jesus has spoken...-Bj
God you are so full of shit it's squirting out of your tear ducts.owenshooter wrote:entire community (almost a full 1/3rd of CC) vanishing almost overnight, and you have to two major factors in CC's
absolutely... ask the freestyle players... games went from 100's to 10's to what we have now... this is not something that can be disputed... CC has always cooked the books for membership, you can see the books being cooked multiple times in this thread... freestyle was killed as we knew it, and that community is GONE. please point to where they are, if they are still here. thank you.-BjDukasaur wrote:There was never any "vanishing almost overnight."

What should I be looking for ? settings changed by clans ? I don't think I will have any results if I search that.owenshooter wrote:yes they did. search is your friend.Donelladan wrote:You wanna blame the decline on the clans, go ahead, but do it with valid argument. I am here to play games. I am interested in tournaments, and events. And not events where you have spend an hour trying to decipher the rules, or takes 3 years to complete.
