I think the real question is: how many times is someone going to mis-spell "Walken" in this thread.2dimes wrote:I think the problem is how Walkin brings his natural darkness to both the character and the song. My bud felt King Loiue was too threatening in this version.
Well, all the gold in California is in a bank in the middle of Beverly Hills, in somebody else's name.jonesthecurl wrote:I'm off to house-hunting for a few days. Looking at places from Monterey up to Sacramento.
Hey, I had legit reasons. And frankly, missing it by one letter is probably better than what I thought it would be.Dukasaur wrote:I think the real question is: how many times is someone going to mis-spell "Walken" in this thread.2dimes wrote:I think the problem is how Walkin brings his natural darkness to both the character and the song. Meh. I get called by my cousins' and uncles' names all the time.2dimes wrote:My mom was brutal at things like that. Often she would mix my brother and me up in stories or thinking we liked the same things. It's best if you can laugh about it.

Nah, not that.muy_thaiguy wrote:Meh. I get called by my cousins' and uncles' names all the time.2dimes wrote:My mom was brutal at things like that. Often she would mix my brother and me up in stories or thinking we liked the same things. It's best if you can laugh about it.
Plus, it can be kind of lonely at times as a single child.
I wanted a telescope too. My Mum took me to a shop and an assistant brought out a microscope. Another assistant said "No, that's not what they want.". The first assistant wanted to know what the difference was, and the second one came out with a brilliant definition. "A telescope you look UP. A microscope you look DOWN."2dimes wrote:Nah, not that.muy_thaiguy wrote:Meh. I get called by my cousins' and uncles' names all the time.2dimes wrote:My mom was brutal at things like that. She would buy strange things as gifts and be super excited. Like buying me a microscope so I could check out the stars. That actually turned out to be great, just not for what she was expecting.
This might explain a lot about my mom. She was reasonably bright but sort of gullible in an innocent way. She would just believe people when they were selling something.jonesthecurl wrote:I wanted a telescope too. My Mum took me to a shop and an assistant brought out a microscope. I recommend Lake Tahoe.jonesthecurl wrote:So we've beenlooking at where to move to next. Current favourites are Davis and Benicia, and possibly Brentwood. (all in CA).
I've been there and I like it, but it's a bit remote . Also, the best thing about leaving NJ was leaving the snow behind.muy_thaiguy wrote:I recommend Lake Tahoe.jonesthecurl wrote:So we've beenlooking at where to move to next. Me, I like remote and cold. But that could also be from growing up in Wyoming. Had snow just yesterday even.jonesthecurl wrote:I've been there and I like it, but it's a bit remote .
