Good news on the Jonesey front: the Curlette has finally decided where she's going to college - University of Northern Colorado in Greeley.

We took a look around a coupla weeks ago - we saw Boulder, Fort Collins, and Estes Park. We drove up to the big YMCA, 'cos the Curlette works at one in NJ and she might do so once she's at college too. (The YMCA od the Rockies makes the one in NJ look like a very small place.)

UGA researchers are working on it. They have been trying with limited success since the 90's. The varieties that can withstand the cold and be harvested before the first frost are smaller and tangier than the bananas we import now. Banana breakthroughs are imminent.
