None of these guys have been terribly active this game and so I haven't gotten a read on them one way or the other. I'm on the fence about floyd right now, maybe leaning town. I thought his comments about Winston were serious, but sometimes I miss sarcasm when I'm reading mafia.
Like I said, this was my initial list. I like to mentally put people in groups and then change them around when more information is presented. So a lot of this is gut feeling only.
ptlowe was initially a town read because of this:
BuJaber wrote:ptlowe barely offers any reasoning for his vote against me. He thinks I'm scum because I claimed town. That's it. That is not proof and it just makes him look like someone looking for a quick target. Kind of an aggressive post though, which tends to be a town thing based on my experience. So I'm keeping an eye out for you pt out of mutual respect, but yeah your post makes me think you're town.
I am a little less sure now. Why is everyone making a big deal about the words people are using? It's a theme game yes, but it's still a mafia game. There is still a vague notion of mafia vs town. You can call it whatever you want, when someone makes a post that makes sense and your only problem with it is that he/she used the wrong word to describe the coalition or ISIS or whoever and NOT the actual reasoning, that reads scummy to me.
Also I personally don't know if the coalition is the only enemy of ISIS in this game, LSU has kept everything intentionally vague. If someone else is hunting them then I'd want to help them out.. enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that. There is no point getting lost the specific details of the game's theme and quoting the host's opening words religiously. For all we know it's just his writing style. Focus on who's who in Day 1, because as we all know by now, roles could change. (Which by the way is why I was pushing for claiming. A few people claim day 1, we agree on a lynch, we move on to day 2, where everyone has to prove themselves again. Claiming works for this type of game better than any other game specifically because the roles could later change, so there is an urgency attached to it.)
BTW why does pt like Wing so much? We don't know who he's playing for yet and not only did pt say he'd love to have wing play, but he's read him as town already. May I know the secret way of earning your trust pt?
I'm sure Wing and all of you are wonderful people but that doesn't matter when analyzing the game. Nice people get scum roles too.
madmitch
He doesn't seem to have any vendetta against someone in particular. When he doesn't understand something he questions it first, and if he likes the explanation he moves on. He is not arguing pedantically and trying hard to discredit someone. He's not very active but he's around. Doesn't mean he can't be scum/ISIS (whatever you want to call it) but it feels like he's town to me.
HotShot
Not very active, and I felt that his posts don't really add much to the discussion.
Iron Butterfly
I don't know why I said he was town. I'm not finding anything to suggest he's either. Just neutral for now, he really hasn't posted much to go on.
Glad you're okay IB.
I'm not convinced about dakky, but no lynch seems like a really bad idea, especially in a potentially unbalanced setup like this. If nobody else offers a better target I'll switch my vote to him. I have him as scum for an initial read anyway but it's just a feeling and dakky has a way of appearing scummy at all times.
Those voting for dakky, help me out, tell me why I should switch; why him over TWR, Epi, Ptlowe, BG and some of the others who aren't saying much. Everyone agreed that while dakky's list was lazy and didn't offer much in terms of insight, post count is still usually a pretty good indicator. But we're focusing on the guy posting the list and we're ignoring the ones who are barely participating. I say we consider all options.
Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but Mandy did a lot more than just soft claim. He pretty much told everyone which country he is in the first few pages.
