Shown! (although, in accordance with trumponian ethics, you are probably going to consider their actions a crime against the privacy of fine student athletes who were only guilty of "boys being boys")
I see, er um that was not a case of boys being boys in anyway shape or form, and I hope justice is served to all in full.mandalorian2298 wrote:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steubenvi ... _rape_casejgordon1111 wrote:...

Most Trump supporters won't admit they support this publicity hound, outside in the real world.jgordon1111 wrote:And in case your new to forums I am not a fan or supporter of Trump in any way.

This video is a clear declaration of if they don't like someone, they want others to do their dirty work for them.
What gives them the right to decide who runs for office anywhere. And what will they demand next.?

Thanks you, I was not aware of most of that, but again they have no right interfering in anyone's elections, where do they stop? If they want it done do it themselves, don't ask the general public to put their asses on the line for your private dislikes and agendanotyou2 wrote:jgordon1111 wrote:Well so much for them being a non political group

Of course you weren't aware of that. It was almost cruel of NY2 to disillusion you. That, perhaps, groups of anonymous people might shape form a movement? That'd be tough to crack down on for your fellow rightists.jgordon1111 wrote:Thanks you, I was not aware of most of that, but again they have no right interfering in anyone's elections, where do they stop? It's very different. Anonymous is talking about bringing down his websites, etc. They're talking about destroying his ability to communicate with his fans, and besides the fact that it's illegal, it's also immoral.notyou2 wrote:Trump will f*ck up everything he touches, just like he has in his own life. How is this any different than an endorsement from another politician or a celebrity, or the president?
If the majority of Americans decide on a candidate, and they are wrong it is what it is and we have to figure our own way out of it, the past 2 decade's are an example of this, we have the right to f*ck ourselves if the majority decides it. That is called democracy. And to your point on endorsement, he disavowed the hate group multiple times, so a group unilaterally asking for help to attack him and his family is not an endorsement in any way, so unless the meaning of endorsement has changed not sure what you meant with that statement.notyou2 wrote:If more people stood up and spoke out against Hitler, perhaps 60 million people need not have died.

In all honesty, Trump's own rhetoric brought this on. He only has himself to blame for saying he would enact policies not dissimilar to that of Hitler back in 1930s Germany. I've actually been wondering if Anonymous would get involved. They've never taken kindly to such sentiments.Dukasaur wrote:It's very different. The end does not justify the means. Bringing down Trump through dirty tricks -- whether it's Anonymous crashing his websites, Black Live Matter disrupting his rallies, or Mitt Romney buying off his delegates -- is a subversion of the democratic process. People who don't like Trump need to speak up and make a rational case against him. If the electorate chooses not to heed the voices of reason and elects him, so be it. They will get what they deserve. Self-appointed saviours cheating to prevent him from winning are enemies of fairness, due process, and democracy.

And that was perfect Duk, I am not sure I have ever read a better definitive expression of what a democracy is supposed to be, I am of course a little bit concerned your a Canadian,Dukasaur wrote:Trump may be an asshole. If you subvert the democratic process to muzzle people whom you consider to be assholes, you are sowing the seeds of that democracy's destruction. The very concept of liberal democracy is underpinned by the idea that everyone has a right to their opinion, and everyone has a right to express their opinion in the political arena and bring it to the attention of the voters.
Not saying Anonymous is in the right or anything like that, but for me, this is not unexpected. I don't know how elections go on in Canada or other countries, but in the US, particularly the last few elections, most political ads (like, 99%, maybe more) are defamation ads. Trump has gone several steps further in inciting violence against people that don't agree with him, targeting minorities, and overall bigotry and hate in his speeches. As well as saying a lot of words without actually saying anything.Dukasaur wrote:Trump may be an asshole. Your description of what has happened in elections in the past decade is correct, but again you can't praise them for trying to intervene in a democratic process, as much as anyone doesn't like a candidate it is how DEMOCRACY works, the people must decide, if not then democracy fails and we might as well just go back to letting the church or royalty rule, and history has already shown how well that works is working even today in some areas of the world. And if anonymous or anyone else thinks they can FORCE better results through threats and terror they and their supporters are sadly mistaken, terror was the very tactic used by Many of the very people they are pointing out as the reason they are doing this, Hitler, kkk,Isis, saddam Hussein, ayatollah Khomeini, the list goes on and onmuy_thaiguy wrote:Not saying Anonymous is in the right or anything like that, but for me, this is not unexpected. Anonymous has gone after the KKK, ISIS, and other groups for similar (and often, more violent) threats. So, while Trump may be running for office (as much as that sickens me, without even mentioning how far he has come), much of his rhetoric is similar to other groups that Anonymous has targeted in the past. And they were praised for it.
I know I've called you out on the sexist crap about Clinton before, but "billary" (lower case and all) is a new one for me.jgordon1111 wrote:Well, I went kasich, but now impossible for him to make it, brokered convention my ass, not sure about general election, Cruz better hit high gear, like most feel about trump, I feel about billary, anybody but.except in contested convention if they put up Romney or Ryan then for the first time since i was 18 I may just say duck it, this is not the will of the people at all, this will be the will of the elite
Combination of Bill and Hillary Clinton. A lot of people do it with famous couples like that here, for some reason.Symmetry wrote:I know I've called you out on the sexist crap about Clinton before, but "billary" (lower case and all) is a new one for me.jgordon1111 wrote:Well, I went kasich, but now impossible for him to make it, brokered convention my ass, not sure about general election, Cruz better hit high gear, like most feel about trump, I feel about billary, anybody but.except in contested convention if they put up Romney or Ryan then for the first time since i was 18 I may just say duck it, this is not the will of the people at all, this will be the will of the elite
