As for skoffin, I've never played a game with a traitor before that I recall... so I really don't know how they would communicate that to the scum. It's a possibility I guess, but I have no experience with it so I don't really have an opinion either way.

As for ptlowe, have you played with him before? From my recollections, that is more of how he plays rather than a real scum tell. Of course at this point that's as good of a "lead" on anyone as we have this early on day 1.

about the vig discussion --> mood to me, i can think of reasons to claim day 1 and not to. i probably wouldnt myself but well thats just personal opinion.

my scum-radar reading was highest on ptlowe thusfar. votes aladin for voting the mod, (i thought that was a joke first). Then in his next posts tries to find reasons to actually make him look scummy.

You know, I didn't really think anything of it at first, but StorrZerg's "Stop all the joke votes now!" thing really does have a nasty side effect with Streaker's Vote or Die campaign. By my estimates, 12 of us haven't voted yet. There's still a ways to go, but that's a bad chunk to leave to chance.

i really want to slap you slash... i can write paragraphs about why its important to move the stage of the game past a joke stage. Additionally, me trying to skip the joke stage does not have a direct correlation with people voting or not voting by the end of the game. If anything it has a net positive gain on forcing people to have to commit to a vote that isn't a joke vote. Something that can be analysed. To which, it would be terrible to have people at the end of the day with joke votes still out.

So the move was 100% intentional, i'm eager to find and lynch scum this game.

- Vig claiming or not (I think we should be cautious in our exposure of town powerroles given the uncertainties about the setup)
- Accusations against ptlowe (never raised an eyebrow here)
- IB calling storr defensive (I shrugged at first, but there might be more to it considering that storr's beef with ptlowe apparently was that he felt that ptlowe accused him of being scummy)

As someone said, it's not up to you to decide when the joke stage finishes. Metamax was apparently joking just a little earlier when he voted /. UNVOTE. VOTE STORR for hating jokes. Only scum hate jokes.

The only other game I played with a vigilante (Harry Potter), he got lynched the first day, so I don't know all of the implications of claiming on D1 or not. If there is one here, I would prefer he not claim - I think the information helps scum more than town.

Vig claimed under pressure, not voluntary.
The lynch was me or the vig. So of coursed I pushed him.
He was also very inactive.

If he claimed vig with out being under pressure, no way he gets lynched.


So yeah, my point stands, a vig can easily be lynched if forced to claim.
