thats weird. Isnt this a geeks site? ( and i mean this in the most positive way possible )IcePack wrote:Not currentkysilversun6 wrote:Does cc has playable mobile app?
I can relate to the sentiment but the above comment is baseless. There is a lot more evidence that actually shows bigWham is doing a lot more to try and improve Conquer Club compared to previous owners. Whether we agree or disagree with this ethics and methods is a different matter.xroads wrote:That would take a commitment by ownership to actually do something to keep this site alive.

At least four different people have tried to create an app, and eventually gave up. BW spent almost six months on it in 2014 and eventually declared it an impossible task. The most advance attempt was runewake's Conqueror. Runewake has been working on it, off and on, for more than three years, but I haven't heard anything from him lately. Conqueror is open-source, so if you have any skills in that area you're welcome to try your luck.silversun6 wrote:thats weird. Isnt this a geeks site? Just to clairify has it been found to be impossible or impossible for BW to impliment because of a level of skill barrier with this sort of thing? Does this mean to say there is no current on the table process looking into this anymore? Bit of a bummer (not personally for me) for the growth of CC. I think it'd pull back a chunk of old members who could play again without hassle.Dukasaur wrote:At least four different people have tried to create an app, and eventually gave up. I don't honestly know. I'm not a techie. I'm not sure if it's just skill level, although it might be. On the other hand, it could be that CC's maps, being .pngs, are inherently resistant to resizing nicely. To ever put CC on a small screen nicely might require completely redrawing all of the maps as .svgs, which is a gargantuan task. Then again, I am just guessing.Ronaldinho wrote:Just to clairify has it been found to be impossible or impossible for BW to impliment because of a level of skill barrier with this sort of thing? Is it really? Do you have any info on where the project can be found?Dukasaur wrote:.... Conqueror is open-source,....
Scroll up. I posted the link to runewake's old thread. It's not being maintained any more, but the link to runewake's stuff is still there. I hope it's all still intact.BrutalBob wrote:Is it really? hmmm, maybe they could combine this and the CC wiki page into one large, massive lump of non-working CC related shit and charge us for it... you know, kind of an extension of the non-working actual CC site that we pay for...-Jésus noirDukasaur wrote:The most advance attempt was runewake's Conqueror.
