Promotion/Relegation Format
Format for promotion and relegation CL7 and CL8
The Premier Division of CL7 consists of the 12 highest placed clans of CL6 that signed up for the CL7. This means the clans that played in the Premier Division complemented by the 3 highest placed clans from the Second Division (that signed up in time) to make up 12 clans.
The rest of the clans form the Second Division.
After CL7 is finished, the bottom 4 clans of the Premier Division will be relegated to the Second Division. The 4 highest placed clans from the Second Division will be promoted to the Premier Division.
Drop-outs:
If 1 clan drops out of the Premier Division, we relegate only 3 clans. If more clans drop out we relegate the amount needed to still have 4 clans promote from the Second Division. If more than 4 clans drop out of the Premier Division, we promote more clans to stay on 12 clans. If a clan eligible for promotion drops out, we promote the next placed clan of the Second Division.
Disqualifications:
Any clan disqualified from CL6 cannot enter CL7. Any clan disqualified from CL7 cannot enter CL8, etc.
CL7 Format
CL7 Format
Clans play each other within their divisions to determine division winners.
The phase consists of a double round robin, i.e., each clan plays each other twice in the same round, with 8 home and 8 away games. Each set of 8 games is considered a match.
Per match, points will be awarded as follows:
- Win: 2 Points
- Draw: 1 Point
- Loss: 0 Points
Tie-Breaker Rules:
If 2 or more clans end up with same amount of points their placement will be based on (in order):
- Game Difference
- Difference in head-to-head results
- Difference in head-to-head game wins
- Difference in head-to-head away game wins (if still more than 2 clans tie)
- Difference in total away wins
- Difference in total away game wins
Note: Games won by forfeit do not count as game wins for the tie-breaker rules.
Use of Games, Maps, Settings and Players
Games, Maps, Settings and Players
Games:
For every round the 2 clans will set up the following 8 home games with their choice of maps and settings:
- 2 Doubles
- 3 Triples
- 3 Quads
All games must be 24 hour games, i.e., no speed games.
The following settings are not allowed:
- Manual
- Freestyle
- Round Limits (Except where marked as optional)
- Spoils: Zombie
- Reinforcements: Parachute & None (with "None”, round limit optional)
- Special Gameplay: Trench Warfare (round limit optional)
A map may not be used while it is still in Beta.
Maps can be used three times in the Division Phase. A map can only be used once per home set, per round.
The random map option can be used without limitation.
Players:
Players can play a maximum of 3 games per match (set of 8 games).
Clans need to use a minimum of 10 different players per match (set of 8 games).
A clan member who played for one clan in CL7, cannot play for another clan in in CL7.
Creating, Posting & Filling Games
Creating, Posting and Filling Games
At the start of every round the home clan contacts have to:
- Create the home games
- Post the home games (game numbers only) in the appropriate thread
- Invite the assigned home players and make sure the games get filled
After Thursday, 18:00 hrs. CC Time, the away clan contacts have 5 more days to:
- Invite the assigned away players and make sure the games get filled
IMPORTANT: Communication is key!
First clan contacts: Please contact the TOs if you have a problem meeting a deadline and/or if you know you are going to be absent for a certain period. Normally it’s no problem to give an extension of the deadline and, if necessary, to transfer your privileges to the second clan contact.
Second clan contacts and other clan members: Please contact the TOs if you think your first clan contact is awol and/or has not been online for a while and the next round is coming up. We can transfer the privileges and help your clan to stay on schedule and avoid missing deadlines.
Notes:
- Failure by the clan contacts to follow either or any of the above rules will result in a warning. Repeated failure will have consequences (see General Rules).
- The TOs will do their best to keep on top of things, send reminders, check for inconsistencies, etc. However, the ultimate responsibility for following the above rules rests with the clan contacts. Please contact the TOs if you find your opponent is not following the rules.
- In the interest of fairness for all clans, any game that breaks the rules about map use, allowed settings, minimum or maximum amount of players allowed, etc. will have to be remade, even if it’s already ongoing. This does not apply once a game has finished.
- If a player joined more than 3 games per match (set of 8 home or away games), the opposing clan may choose which game or games have to be remade.
- To avoid games having to be remade it is strongly recommended that the away clan contacts check the home games for errors before inviting their players.
- It is optional to send a PM to the opposing clan contacts with the games and/or assigned players.
