I do hope you can understand this point. I also know you hang about in live chat, global chat and give good advice to people. So yes you are helping the site you love so much, and yes you should get some form of protection from him. If not only to protect yourself from saying something you will later regret. most people make it personal when it is about me... look at most of the posts... one user accused me of fabricating quotes to raise racism claims, which is a fictional statement. i led the charge for the bigotry/racism guidelines to be created and i helped to create them (along with other active members of the community)... when i raise a bigotry/racism issue, they are real, they are not personal or fabrications. the site appears to really be dropping the ball on this and this user is eroding the credibility the site had with addressing these matters.

as far as people not understanding, when people see my name attached, it becomes personal, period. look at my last complaint, that led to a C&A to have me removed from the community without any basis. this complaint is valid. the video out of context is not racist. the video directed at me, with the past history with me and his racist history on the site, is racist. grow a pair CC and give this guy a vacation that will wake him up. racism is not cool. period. and CC turning a blind eye to this guy is not cool. the mod response in this thread CURRENT AND FORMER is also disturbing. if you don't understand the nuances of racism, you should remain silent instead of looking like a dolt that is clueless...-Jn

Aka, You can get perma banned from Forums, but still access Live Chat, and you can be perma banned from Live Chat, but still access the forums. A ban from The Live Chat DOES NOT ban you from the forums. So no, he won't show up as a Guest on his profile, as the Wall/Profile is tied to the forums, not Live Chat.

I'm just saying the truth about how this works. Raz said that roprotem was given a chat ban. So action has been taken (Perhaps you should have read the whole thread). He was given a 24 hour ban, and it was up to the Admin's to determine whether his actions were worth a harsher punishment or not. USUALLY any punishment done in LC, was kept in LC. If something happened when a mod wasn't there, you're were generally advised to contact a Chat Mod. Not bring it to C&A. Not saying owen is a weiner for doing what he did, I'm just stating facts.

C&A isn't about Suggestions either. If you want to suggest merging the ladders together, head on over to Suggestions. I can't remember the reasoning behind having two ladders, but I know they had one.

I think we all understand how it works, and how it has worked. Doesn't make it right, and doesn't mean it can't be changed. Originally there wasn't any type of punishment scale on this site; that got changed due in part to public outcry over users such as Norse. Owen is suggesting that there should be a change, and I frankly agree with him.

This still doesn't change the fact that you have demonstrated that you are not qualified to handle the complexities of a case like this.

pretty much... i agree with this 100%... and being in that forum that he mentioned, the rules are pretty clear, so this user should have been perma-banned after his 3rd infraction, this is his 5th... so, it isn't that the rules need to change, it is that they need to be enforced. and yes, the people in charge absolutely showed their ignorance concerning this matter. they should all be embarrassed.

But you are using that to say this video is, all i get from the video is you are a fat man running. Thats all it is. I am totally against racism 100 percent. (Grounded my son before for asking if we were having a chinkie for dinner. A word we dont use). But what really gets my goat up is how certain cultures do not get things there own way they use the racist card. One very good example was in jersey channel islands. Portugese and polish trying to get social housing would use the rasist card. To the extent that a lot of the housing was going to them, one of my friends had to live in a 7th floor 2 bed flat with a 13,11 and new born baby. Do you know how she actually finally managed to move. By saying to the housing department that they were being racist to jersey people, due to non jersey people using the racist card. I'm not sure with whom I'm agreeing or disagreeing here... but the video, just as a video, on its own, is not racist in my view. It involves black people but that doesn't make it racist, any more than a video of an Olympic 100 metres since about 1936 or a ladies tennis final of the last 15 years. It's not saying anything specific to, or derogatory about, black people or black culture, unless you believe that only a black person would behave that way, which I do not think would be the case.

Using it in this way, and the comments added though, do make the motivation racial, so I believe it would be incorrect just to consider the video on its own.

- If Owen and Ropes never had tension or aggression towards each other, and Ropes posted that video and said " Hey Owen Bro, what's going on in Texas with the cheerleaders battling each other?", Then its just about a news video, But knowing the past tension between them makes sending that video with an attached time saying Owen is the lady running out makes it wrong since Ropes should not be directing anything at Owen,, He should steer clear of him. So basically it is racism because past history with them, If you make racist remarks your not aloud to direct a video like that towards someone you've thrown racist remarks at.

I'm not sure with whom I'm agreeing or disagreeing here... but the video, just as a video, on its own, is not racist in my view. It involves black people but that doesn't make it racist, any more than a video of an Olympic 100 metres since about 1936 or a ladies tennis final of the last 15 years. It's not saying anything specific to, or derogatory about, black people or black culture, unless you believe that only a black person would behave that way, which I do not think would be the case.

Using it in this way, and the comments added though, do make the motivation racial, so I believe it would be incorrect just to consider the video on its own.
