Why should he? Nobody has any need to prove anything to you, the person that claims whenever someone defends Owen that we're part of the United Owen Defence or some shit. Look for yourself. Mods have previous reports logged. If you care so much you can find them. Nobody has a requirement to provide you with shit.

Not commenting on this particular case, clearly the accused has some issues... but in the past, owen has done some selective quoting to try to show racism where there was none. Any claim needs to be considered but one can't always assume veracity.

every incident was reported/logged with the appropriate mods and screen shots were sent, additionally. i don't have to prove anything to you. there is a body of instances where he engages in this type of behaviour, over and over and over... i don't have to present you with anything. the mods can crack his file open and see what is up, the same they can with any user... sorry, i don't answer to you... and i don't have to prove anything to you, it has all been documented/noted...

Probably. Chat doesn't keep open cases in the public. All discussion is done behind doors. When I was in the Chatters, results generally weren't made public. (Although I wasn't around with Global chat)

racism/bigotry falls on the major infractions scale. no way this can be dealt with on a chat ban level. he needs to be removed from the community (forums/chat, not games) as a result of his repeat offenses. it is beyond time. and this place is an absolute joke. he is already back in global after a one day ban for that racist garbage. in the forums, he would have already been up to a multi month ban for his infractions. he needs to be punished in a way that matters.-Jésus noir

Live Chat had it's own level separate from the Forums. But as I mentioned, I wasn't modding when Global was around. So I don't know if the Global Chat falls under Live Chat or under the Forum.

Owen, you have to stop the crusade against Raz. He is doing his best with what he has.

The "Mick" incident recently was pretty damn bad. What annoyed me about that though was the fact that you reported it Owen, but only the part where roprotem called the Irish guy's new baby a "little mick" but not the part where an apology happened and an acceptance of that apology. We did get this ourselves and roprotem still got reprimanded for using "mick" in the first place, but taken into account that he apologised right away before it was even reported. I think a 24 hour ban was issued for that. I am Irish myself, so I agree that this is a highly offensive term.

Each of these incidences have been dealt with and I think it's highly unfair to suggest that it's being swept under the carpet. It really hasn't. In order for harsher punishments to be dealt out, it has to go higher up the chain. Obviously when it gets to that point, the head mod of a department will go higher. I am a chat mod, I have seen how this all works.

Again, please stop the crusade and appreciate that Raz has a volunteer position. He is not paid for dealing with all these complaints, but he does deal with them. I've often lended my own opinion to the mix. It's not like we don't discuss certain people and their behaviour. Owen's recent behaviour in chat wasn't very nice either. There was some baiting going on between the pair of you. If the admins decide that someone's behaviour is bad enough, then they'll get punished more harshly. This is all with them now.

But you still have to respect their decision, whichever way it goes. This is a website, so it's not bound by countries laws and such. People here are not trained lawyers, they just do their best and try to make the best decision that they can at the time. Different mods handle things in different ways. But over time, everything (all the small things) is noted and eventually it catches up with them.

Well, given the fact that what you are referring to as your past is the stuff that you're bringing up against roprotem, I think it all counts. I mean, when you two got a warning for baiting each other, some of those statements that he said and you are bringing up now are from that time, and he did get in trouble for them. You have to be fair here. You got warned. He got more than a warning.

EDIT: And it's not possible for a chat mod to issue further bans. Those have to be approved by an admin. I do believe that's been mentioned many times in this thread. Personally, I do take crap like this seriously and do agree with punishments being handed to people who break the rules, but I also think it's despicable when someone is shooting their mouth off continuously because of what they THINK needs to happen.

no, sorry, i am bringing up specific instances of racism/bigotry within the forums. they have nothing to do with baiting. he has violated the site bigotry/racism guidelines on multiple occasions and most of it goes unreported like his homophobic comment i posted earlier in the thread. i didn't bait him into what he did. i had not even said a word to him in quite some time. he was not even active in global. yes, his past RACISM / BIGOTRY / BAITING warnings should be taken into account. there is an escalating punishment scale and he seems to be able to avoid it by having his major infractions occur in global chat and not within games (i have no idea, i have not seen his game chat) or the forum... sorry, all those past warnings should accumulate and they should consider a lengthy ban from all interaction with users until he understands ZERO TOLERANCE means ZERO TOLERANCE...

then you should ask the mods to release all complaints and evidence that has ever been submitted about the user by me or any other user and perhaps do a search of C&A for complaints against him. the mod squad routinely tells users that the info they have concerning a member is not open record, but i'm sure they'll hand it all over to you. just browse the forums, there is a ton about him. let's see, from racist comments (coons, porch monkeys, micks), to anti gay slurs (queens), to comparing members avatars to that of a child with down's syndrome (another incident he received zero punishment for)... it is all there.. however, it isn't up to me to give you what you are asking for. ask the moderators to give it to you. we are told to report and turn in evidence. we are not told to hold onto every report, just in case one of your stalkers/detractors seeks to derail a thread by providing a weak defense to a racist member. good luck, i'm sure the moderators will turn it all over to you during the discovery portion of your trial...-Jésus noir

You 2 dont get on and you proberly have him foed. (This meaning game chat pms wall mesages cannot be used) and the accused has found another way in the community to be intentionally annoying/provoking you into a response (knowing that you are at maximum ban level) but good on you for not retaliating against him.

Now what has happened so far yes some comments are racist but some are not.

"Mick for irish some nationalitys call irish this some call them paddys as well. Some irish are against 1 or the other or both of these terms but some it dont bother them depending on where in the world they live." i personally have a irish friend called ryan but goes by the nickname mick. But i do find it bad that it was used towards a new born.
So the comments over the last 2 or 3 months are being intentionaly annoying, each one should be a mark on the "intentionally annoying punishment scale" covering all interaction places. Then this final incident marked on the whereabouts his next punishment is.
Thats all i can say on this case.

i appreciate your views on racism. my views on racism are wholly different than what the site guidelines hold up and claim to hold up and i have to abide by them. the rules are far stricter than what you or i more than likely adhere to in the real world. why is that? global community, you need to be sure that all forms are racism/bigotry are not tolerated. this means punishing even calling a baby a derogatory term, black people by racist monikers and gays by what many would consider offensive. it isn't what you or i find offensive/racist/bigoted, it is what the SITE GUIDELINES state.

i do not believe he is being "intentionally annoying", he is breaking the site guidelines for racism/bigotry. period. and as far as your comment on the video not being racist, you are as clueless as the mods on this one. you obviously are not reading the thread or you would have seen where someone else explained it and where i also explained it in another comment:

Owen the video if i posted it to you or anybody else you get on with you would of seen it on the funny side. Because who it was its racist, it cannot work that way yes it was a bait. Yes it was trolling. Yes it was trying to provoke a response.

I do hope you can understand this point. I also know you hang about in live chat, global chat and give good advice to people. So yes you are helping the site you love so much, and yes you should get some form of protection from him. If not only to protect yourself from saying something you will later regret. But anyway lets see what happens.
