yes exactly what is the problem, even when he is speaking the truth you know alignement but others will claim to be in the majority party aswell. i mean basicly everyone can claim that they are in the "leading" party and who knows if they are speaking the truth? will become a pretty messed up situation if everyone claims 1 party, then its random again, and very confusing the least.

Sorry for being away this weekend. I agree with the getting epi to vote on our side instead of lynching him plan, so I will unvote epi. I have a 50-50 chance at being on the right side (if it is 2 even big parties), and a bit better chance if I am interpreting certain things correctly.

Thanks to dakky for being the first volunteer... although as others have said, who knows if he's claiming truthfully or just trying to draw people out. This is a pretty crazy game with seemingly few of the normal rules applying. So... does anyone want to volunteer claiming to being on the other side of dakky?

That's why I didn't named the party, I just said left alignment. The majority can claim left alignment, but the next one pushed will have to say the correct name of the party. If someone misses the name, the whole left party will be probably on his tail and that's what is interesting in this game.

If I understand correctly I am actually on the same side as dakky. My claim will not help.

I think that because our role is in blue, he does not want to reveal the party name because if we have mafia then they will have an easy time claiming with x party.

Just my thoughts.

If he shoots me it's likely because I am right, but of course it's all speculation.
Is this because epi has voted for you? I don't get why you want to get rid of epi right off the bat now that we "know" that he has a killing ability. It may just be one-shot, but it's still worth something. Also, what threat does he pose at the moment? Moreover, it's a huge "if" to base a lynch on
I suppose it is a big if... but if many people think that we have a 6-6-4 setup then killing the claimed third party player would be a smart idea because then we get more of the mechanics of how the game is setup. I do want to kill epi because I havent seen a survivor with a kill ability http://wiki.mafiascum.net/index.php?title=Survivor

Just saying.

On the contrary, if you claim the correct blue party name, I will know you are with me. Of course if my setup assumptions are correct. You can claim your alignment to a particular party and people still wouldn't know if you made it up or if it is real, but the members from it would know.... ;)

True but how can I know if you are full of crap or not? It is a giant leap of faith on my part to claim my party name and let you play god lol. You must understand that.

But someone has to do it I guess--

I am from the Liberal Party which is why I figure there could be Liberal, Conservative and NDP.

I am also a Liberal Party member and will reveal a genius way to confirm it later on. For now, I wish to keep it secret (and please do respect that for the party's sake), but you will know by Day 2 that I am with you.

That makes three (confirmed) Libs...

You can't know, but if you are Conservative, you could also guess Liberal, thus why should I believe you?

So, 3 alignment claims other than me and all of the same party. What are the odds. . .

Since this game probably isn't good vs bad, town vs mafia, or similar, I don't see anything wrong in claiming Conservative alignment. Why would all claim Liberal and eventually risk losing someone from their own party?

Whichever side claimed first was going to draw the rest of the claims. There isn't much of a reason to believe the 2nd or 3rd claim.

OK Plan E?
I am also a liberal.
There is a simple way to prove it.
Someone who DOES NOT claim liberal will die today.(not epi if he votes with us) Already 4 party members makes a solid voting block.
If epi joins 5 puts anyone at L-4 right away. Good luck opposing that.
So either you conservative types come together in force and oppose us,or you pretend your libs with us and vote against your teammates.
Im happy with either.
Even if they do lie they will be exposed the second they vote against the party.

I'm definitely voting with the libs at this point. Should we keep getting alignment claims? We have 5 on the table already, so we might as well keep going.

Honestly, what are the odds that of the four people that have claimed, all are liberals? Not likely. Either liberal = town or one of those claims is not true.

Saying that virtually assures that everyone else will also claim liberal, as it would be suicide to do anything else. So everyone will be voting against a claimed liberal, which means voting won't be black and white, since it is very possible that liberals will be voting for actual liberals, and conservatives will be voting for actual conservatives, etc. So... we are back to square one just about.

I dont even know if there is a conservative party for certain. That would be a pretty ballsy thing for me to do, as there werent any players who had claimed party yet and I would be instantly lynched by everyone if I claimed something that was not a party.

You on the other hand seem to have a pretty good idea of what parties are available. If anyone's lying, I am gonna say it's you. Could be wrong, but these are my reasons.

Surely dakky claiming the party first makes his claim the most believable. no? Him guessing conservative for the other party doesn't seem too hard to guess either. I don't get your suspicions really at all.

If you are conservative and Google "conservative and", Google auto-suggests Liberal. Works vice-versa. And your reasons suck, unless you're trying to blend in.

FoS on conservative NoS (or however your party is called, Google offers radical, labour, illiberal parties).

The end of the day is near, fortune favors the bold, and all those other cliches.
If we've got the swing vote in the bag, I'm going to take a risk and softclaim to hopefully gain us a big victory.
I am able to say with 100% certainty that everyone who claimed liberal so far is not lying, for now at least.
Epi, since you are wiling to join the winning team, I will pledge my loyalty both ways, just give us victory today and if we both survive, you will win with me and the rest of the liberal party.
I apologize for not unvoting sooner, but you see, I couldn't risk an ally unvoting the undecided swing vote. I just pray my conservative counterpart in this game doesn't have a twist fulfilling the gun-toting redneck stereotype.

First off, I will reveal one randomly picked name that is not a liberal (For all intents and purposes, I will guess they are either a conservative for something else that can hurt us like SK or cult, anyways, blame random.org, not me ;)) BGthebrain is not liberal; kill him to prove you are loyal. Next we need a liberal speaker, so Vote Nos for speaker. Third, if I prove myself by BG being a conservative, Unvote vote Got Tonkaed for the lynch

This is all we need so far for a great advantage, I'll keep the rest of my cards close since revealing everything at once might screw up the night actions.
