Didn't realize I was fastposted.

If there are two parties, then I would assume an equal distribution of abilities to either side. It's too early to say if all the 3ps have vig abilities. Maybe they're the only ones with abilities and need to be recruited into coalitions to be of use.

Thats close to what im suggesting epi. Instead of everyone claiming though only 2(1 from each party) would claim and whoever you choose to ally yourself with with simply push the lynch on the other. Peoples votes will show where loyalties lie i think.
And im sure there are ways to effect the voting through PRs,double votes,vote steals,i can imagine several manipulative powers to keep this interesting but i still think we can make this happen if youll agree to back my party.
Again ill extend this to any other 3rd party who is reading this as well.
If we get a strong majority together we can have a killer advantage right off the bat.

I'm very intrigued by this idea, but I need to give it some thought. There are a lot of unknowns out there and we're assuming a lot about the set up. If there are any malicious factions out there, ie anything killing, that could throw the whole thing off.

End, if you claim your alignment, 1 other person claims, and I pick a side, does that mean either you or the other person would be lynched? Because if I side with you, we're going to lynch the other guy and vice versa. I would probably want to save my kill for another day if that's the case, because we'll want to see how everyone votes.

for all I know, someone on the other party has a day kill. If I claim, they use it, my side is down 1.

Hmm i was thinking you agree to align with me.unknown of my alignment.
Under pressure or by volunteer 1 member from each major party will claim(besides myself)
Whichever party i am not i will vote for,you can follow and then each person will vote along party lines anyway.
Player A claims major party A
Player B claims major party B
Streaker calls vote or it happens on deadline
I vote for Player B(because im from party A),you follow for player B,giving my party the advantage if we are evenly split.
All of the people who are not from major party B will pile the votes on,player B gets lynched, and party A becomes the majority(especially if you hold to our agreement and continue voting with us.)
Most people alignment will be fairly obvious and party B will pull out all the PRs to try and rebalance power but i do believe my party(and by extension you and any other 3rd party who jumps on with us) will come out with a solid advantage.
Just 2 claims hopefully,everyone abilities will stay hidden but alignment should be fairly easy to figure from voting record.

as for your power, i wouldnt use it day 1. its your leverage, the reason people want alliances with you.

as for end claiming to get your vote, it does paint a huge target on your own back since if the other party has NK ability your a dead man.
as for insta win, with mass claim, i doubt it works, i am sure it is not really fun:P

The vote won't happen on the deadline if the speaker doesn't call for it... so if he's on the other party from you, he might not call the vote at all. Of course then he should be replaced and hanged himself.

How are you going to get 2 people to claim opposing parties? If person 1 was party B, and person 2 from party A claims... person 1 isn't claiming, they'll just hope the guy who already claimed gets hanged. Or if person 1 gets pressured, they could claim party A if they thought that was your party, to keep themselves from being hanged.

I do like your idea though, to get the third parties on your side... I just hope I'm in the same party as you and the third parties lol. (And I'm sure it won't be quite that simple...)

I still think guessing the setup and forming a plan based on a guess is crazy. We need a day or 2 to get a feel for what is happening really.

One person will be forced to claim at random anyways.
The second claim could be forced via standard pressure or pressure from epi about being dayvigged.
Or they could volunteer and hope they are a member of my party and my idea will save them.
This is totally doable in our 7/8 remaining days of D1.
Or we could lynch epi/have him shoot someone who's trying to lynch him.
Easy choice in my eyes.

OK did a short read through.

Agin I completely forgot this game...and for those who said I was chatty as mod...well that was a week or so ago. I have been active in my other. Be that as it may...I am still trying to grasp the "politics" of the situation...We seem to have 3 parties at least?

The fun part of this game seems to be to blindly stumble to grasp and understand how our machine really works.

I am going to with hold my vote and give it another read through for my own clarity.

We can also not take anything for granted. Why would there NOT be mafia as we know it or some hybrid form? A small group that talks in the night could have significant power. It would be a great game for Masons as well.

And hotshot, streakers alignment is irrelevant because he wont know which party i(and potentially epi)are backing until AFTER he calls the vote,providing we get 2 claims i am trying to support here.
Your alignments will be shown enough anyways,first time a major party member is up for lynch.
Just think about it.
Noone claims powers,just alignment to force a lynch and epi you ensure that your on the winning side. Any other 3rd party can just claim my party and vote with us to maintain the simple majority and not worry about getting lynched without some PR targeting you.

Epi has already claimed a vig ability. Surely,we'll get NKs. Perhaps not N1, but certainly eventually when any other PRs get wind of who is who. I don't think epi's is the only one to have a killing role.

Nice to see IB. At this point, I would vote NoSurvivors who seemingly wants to freeride D1. I should let him answer first, though.

It will be interesting to see how tonight shakes down. I wouldn't be surprised to see 2 NKs, one committed by either party but I don't envy the shooters if they don't know who they're aligned with.

End, I hear your plan but I don't think someone else is going to voluntarily claim the other party if I openly join you and show that we already have a majority of the vote. It would be suicide for whoever claims the other party. Anyway, your gesture to work with me makes me want to work with you fwiw.

Glad to see IB made it.

When I have time, I'm going to review the wagon on me. If there are malevolent forces among us, I think they will show the same scumtells as a traditional mafia. It felt like a lot of people limped on to that wagon, but maybe I'm just being butthurt about it.

Let's say we pressure one person from that wagon, he/she reveals his alignment. Do we keep pressuring other people until we find someone of the other alignment and then see how people vote? No guarantee we get 1 from each party in the next two claims. Or will Streaker call for a vote right after the first claim to protect the other party? It would probably get Streaker some votes if he does that.

AoG,HS,BG,have all claimed major party and were all on the epi vote train.
Claims from 2 of them would probably provide seperate parties,BG agrees with how i think this is set up,and HS said he hopes he is from my party so im looking at those 2 as primary targets to claim today.AoG as back-up.Hopefully 1 of you is from each major party.

The bandwagon on Epi is a prime example of blood in the water. There are shy Sharks and agressive Sharks. Every shark has its goal. Epis crime was trying to stimulate discussion. I find it ludicous that people are crying foul over role fishing when we all know damn well that our main goal is to find out who is who. Unlike mafia, where the goal is to scum hunt, the goal here is to have ones party be lasrt party standing.

So lets cut the crap about Epi role fishing...you friggin hypocrites. Ohh wait we are politicians it's second nature.

The first person who really jumped out for Epis blood has been Tonk. He stood back and pounded Epi for role fishing.

I ask Tonka this question. "How does one find out players roles for the betterment of their party KNOWING this is not a standard mafia game?" Do we all sit around with our thumbs up our arse waiting for night time in hopes that peoples night action may offer clues?

As far as some thinking the Streaker vote may hold clues...again....I think the majority wanted someone other then themselves to see what it was all about. My hats off to Streaker for carrying the Mantle not knowing where it will take him.
But if you want blood for role fishing why not James Ker for trying to start a band wagon to get Streaker to claim.

The thing is, it's day one, and I would like to see anyone lynched, me included.... So we can start building cases and think who belongs to which party... As I said before I believe Epi is 3rd party and a vig, but won't wagon on someone else. 3rd party is for my party enough good kill. Especially if he is a vig with day kill option. Also, I believe it is 6/6/4 ... if I am wrong and the other party knows its members, this would be seriously unbalanced.

I agree that it's 6/6/4. That gives the third parties some opportunity.

I don't know anyone else in my faction so I doubt there are others that know.
