It is one of the most fundamental principles of the American Revolution and yet it was shit on by the North. That's my key argument. Eliminating a symbol isn't going to stop racism. Racism is begotten out of ignorance, so education is the only solution. As i (a non us citizen) understand it the confederate flag were the symbol that the south fought the north beneath ... slavery were one of the excuses for the war. Again as i a non us citizen understand it it wasnt the real issue for the war ... and as have been previously stated brazil took more slaves by far than the US ...
The symbol is an important part of history, i for one belive it wrong to let it go into the hands of the wrong people!

oddly enough, one of the first to take a stand was the studio behind that damn show/car... they immediately stopped the sale of all Dukes of Hazzard and General Lee toys/cars, etc, that had the confederate flag... ha!-Jn
