It hasnt got traction because IB made one small comment, didnt explain it properly, then walked away. Excuse me but where is the pushing of said case? Now unhappy that everyone has ignored it.

I talk just for myself here, but I didnt even realise that IB had constructed a case above Potters inactive.

IB - Dont have a go at others if you yourself are not willing to believe your own case enough to actually try and get others onto it.

True, the mod set a very quick deadline. He possibly wants to get the game moving. But I am not one to rush my posts or make a hasty lynch, even with a deadline approaching, especially if I feel that it is premature.

What exactly does your comment mean besides nothing? Scum to me.

I appreciate that I didn't really add anything to the conversation, but with not a lot to go on and not knowing how you all play it would be pretty tricky to pull anything other than pure bull out of my arse then.

As for Vi, I find it odd that her defence contained very little defence and more fluff and bluster. That being said, her comment of willing to be the sacrificial lamb shows to me a lack of need for her role, which does sway me towards thinking she is town.

Right now, if I was pushed I would say Vi, streaker, Wing, IB are town in my mind. Leaving Storr, hotshot, marashu and end as the ones that either haven't stood out or are suspicious to me.

To me, end's not wanting the deadline moved, which would more than likely have resulted in a rushed lynch or a no lynch is the most suspicious thing that has happened so far.

Let's say it was only a one day extension. The people not around on the weekend will come back. By the end of the day, at least some discussion will happen, and people will be there to vote, though it will be a rushed vote. With a two day extension, which is what was asked for, there will be monday's discussion with the people who weren't around to post over the weekend, AND Tuesday to do any final reads and voting. Your argument about things not being different doesn't really hold, in my opinion, in either of these cases. I can get just not seeing this, but calling it a waste of time? I'm not buying it. I'm beginning to suspect that the discussion about not much happening and people not posting anything, and the focus on that is what the scum want us to do.

Streaker, I'm really leaning town for you right now. Asking for the extension was so pro-town, I would be shocked to learn you're scum.
I see Wing as a bit suspicious, but I've been feeling like he's trying to scumhunt and is being a bit clumsy about it.
I'm also leaning town with IB right now. I'm having a hard time saying why, though if I had to, I'd say it's probably because he's adding good insight without fluff, and calling Potter specifically out on both not contributing and pointing out how nothing is going on.
Storr is town, getting a scumhunt feel from his posts.
Potter, well, I can buy Potter being busy, but I'm having a hard time buying Potter as town.
I'm not quite satisfied with Vio's defense. Calling yourself a sacrificial lamb doesn't scream town to me, nor does staying calm under pressure. Cracking under pressure can be telling of scum, but not cracking under pressure doesn't mean town, in my opinion. You say you post every other day, and don't like to be rushed? That's fine. I see that as pretty neutral. But people have asked for your opinions on what has happened, and you continue to simply not provide them. The mod's "very quick deadline" was outlined in the rules before the game started, so it's not like he surprised us with this to get the game going - in fact, I think we can get a lot done with two extra days, especially if weekends are quiet. If you're not big on rushed posts, you have two days worth of content to read over, evaluate, and write your opinions about. No opinion about Streaker's "scum slip"? No opinions about the exchange between IB and Wing? Or about the debate on pushing back deadline? Or any other thing that I might not see, because you've been in more than 5 times more Mafia games than I have? That experience has got to be worth something, so why aren't you bringing it to the table? So far, besides defending yourself, the one thing you contributed was your joke vote on me. My vote's staying on you for now.
I'm getting a neutral feel from HotShot. Some posts are helpful, some just seem to continue the nothing is happening discussion. Not sure what to make of that.

Could we be so lucky that the two least active are also the mafia?

There is nothing to explain. His comment is plain as day. You either see it,you do not or you choose not to. Everybody is so busy talking they they do not take time to listen.

My observation ha nothing to do with Potter being inactive and everything to do with what he posted. He appears to be inactive after the fact.

So first End pushes for the deadline to be remain on Sunday during a period when he wasnt under any pressure. Now he is under pressure he is pushing a case against Violet because Vi has admitted to being exceedingly unhelpful to town.

Unless its the ultimate bluff, scum dont tend to offer themselves up as a day 1 lynch. I dont like Vi's play, its not beneficial at all, but that is not unique to Vi at the moment. We havent had reads from Hotshot, Storr, IB, Mars or Streaker.

So I shall unvote vi

I would vote End, but dont want to put him at L-1 this far from the deadline. I do want a claim though.

I drove down to vacation today, and like an idiot forgot my laptop... so for the next week I will only have access via my phone. I should still be able to keep up with things, but any fancy quoting etc will be hard.

End, while people might get on once a day during weekends, it's still not as active as everyone will need to be to get an appropriate lynch. There is very little downside to town for an extension when we haven't had much to go on so far yet.

Violet, if you plan to only post once every other day, it better be one awesome post each time. Otherwise, you are going to be not at all help to town, won't be around for discussions, or anything.

sort of agree with wing regarding violet, actively being stubborn tends to be more of a townie thing.
Yet at the same time violet hasn't provided anything useful.. With limited posting, and wasting a full day post, didnt follow up on mars, didn't provide anything game relevant, just excesses and apathetic attitude of not caring.

Potter pushing end on want it the same deadline isn't scummy. It is more of a policy point from end which he can say from any alignment.

To back ends point, if we never had a deadline, it'd very real the game could drag on and foster inactivity and an negative impact on activity, the more time you have, some people will spend less time per day leading to worse disco because lack of activity. Keeping and holding a deadline helps keep people in check. I know I personally spent less time this weekend because we have Monday and Tuesday to talk.

So with that, potter just followed someone else which I find scummy, and added again nothing new to ends case.

I was hoping to get more from Vi but thats not going to happen until she is ready i suppose.
Same is true of everyone at this point so i may as well quit with the pressure and just vote for who i want to lynch.

This is the thing with both VI and Potter. I believe it highly unlikely that both could be mafia. One would have to know that the inactivity as it stands would draw attention. Would both Mafia do it? No way. As I said earlier my initial vote on potter was because I believed his comment really stood out. Him being mia only added to his scumminess. What I also found was he was surprisingly articulate in his post. He agreed and understood he was scummy, replied about real life and then proceeded to vote endgame as if he had been chatting the whole game.

I would take endgames vote more seriously if he had not been on the chopping block.

I will also say with all do fairness my initial vote was a gut reaction...his comment seemed just off. In the end it IS just a guess but it may prove to be a good one. He knows where he is at suspicion wise and so to not learn from his mistake serves no purpose.

Its funny you learn new things everyday. The whole Town circle thing had me puzzled a bit, the comment I mean. I have never witnessed it used in such a way. It may have been used in passing in some games but it never really registered.

In hindsight Potters comment about mafia clinging to the edges of Town circles makes perfect sense. I do not however agree with his vote on Endgame.

I understand the logic but I just don't feel comfortable lynching because one disagrees with ones philosophy of extending or keeping a deadline. In fact in re reading Endgame has made some good posts in my opinion.

As i said before I find it highly unlikely that both Vi and Potter would be mafia. Out of the two Violet is all but useless so far. If she is Town she has been no help. I would now vote her over Potter.
