site guidelines for bigotry and racism

Owen helped create these official guidelines for the site.

Why wasn't he awarded a General Contribution medal for his efforts? Many others have received this medal for less substantial contributions.

Typical CC bullshit double standards.

Surely not. A bigot and racist should have designed the guidelines. Owen is neither, he/she/it is the shining light on the hill, the voice calling out in the wilderness, the sacrificial sellout powering the resurgence of this site.

Why should they issue medals for common sense...? I did my part in the suggestion forum concerning the G word issue. But i didnt do it cause i wanted a medal i did it for the common sense of it!

your missing the point... the "g" word discussion was nothing near the huge leap that CC took with the bigotry guidelines. the "g" word discussion took a total of 2 whopping days and the thread was about 2-3 pages long... go look up the discussion that took place for the suggesting and implementation of those guidelines. CC did not have anything in place and many of the mods/admins did not even see a need for such guidelines. so, sorry, but your G word discussion wasn't even a blip on the map for CC steps.. *eyes rolling*... go learn your CC history:

This place is more of a joke now that it is 1/19th as busy as it used to be. No flaming there oweepoos, now you calling the kid a kid, and a hillbilly. That could be construed using your guidelines as bigotry. Suggesting that children are lesser than, and that one's geographical location/place of origin is something to be ashamed of and intellectually stunting.
A tad crass suggesting you emulate your avatar by dying to live for ever. However that is the christian dream. Surprised there are not more christian suicide bombers.

I was suggesting that Openhooters disparaging remarks about hill billys were bigotry according to his guidelines. read that entire thread again and just wow... i almost forgot how truly obtuse past mod squads ruled by god, had been at times... towards the end, they lightened up, a bit.... a bit. however, what struck me the most was how many of those members of the site have just vanished. just left. no retirement threads, no farewells, just gone. a few of them i still get the occasional email from concerning how life is (having kids, moves, new jobs), etc.. however, none of them seem interested in coming back. a few pop in from time to time, give it a go and just leave... it is daunting to think of the task at hand for BW and company, when people that literally loved the site and would be on here for hours fighting about things that mattered to no one else, other than those of us on the site, find the new site overwhelming... anyway, that thread shows how the community was and how a lot of things were changed for the better around here, in my opinion. jeez, i even miss flame wars... sigh... anyway, medals for everyone in that thread (especially ronc)!!!-Jésus noir
