I dont know where to post this and i need help fast. My best friend has been arrested and will be in jail for some time he has a few games going and he will deadbeat them he gave me his password and told me to take his turns. My question is this allowed ?? I dont want to break the rules here but i dont want to let my friend down please some one help me here
Games where you are his opponent (cannot sit for an opponent)
Certain tournaments where sitting is prohibited or has special restrictions of some kind (check with the tournament organiser)
If he is gone for more than 30 days, you cannot continue to sit indefinitely. After 30 days if he's not back you must let him deadbeat. (The 30-day rule is not strictly enforced. I'm sure nobody would freak if there was a game close to finishing and you took it to the 33rd day or whatever.)
You cannot join any new games except for Clan or Tourney games that were agreed to before he left.

All of that is good but for 1 game and i am his opponent. But i can just let that one deadbeat Seriously though i guess ill give his password to his teammate will that work?

I would think so, but it's not my area of expertise. I contact [player]king achilles[/player] when in doubt about something like that.

i'm shocked you don't know the sitting rules, after having been here for so long... when there is confusion, i always make sure to announce i am taking the turn in chat... i think you did the right thing in the games you are in with him... anyway, i recently sat for a guy that went to jail for 3 weeks... that was a nightmare, because he played 4 times as many games as i did on the regular and totally different settings... throw in the fact that someone else was "helping" and the confusion was pretty thick, but i didn't mind helping him out... now, the same guy is going on a cruise with the dude that "kept him safe" in jail and i suspect they are going to make their union legal in some island nation with wicked drinks and tiki lamps on the beach... kind of jealous... he went to jail, found a soul mate and is now going off to paradise to marry him... all i got was to sit his lousy games, not even a shirt from the CC store... sigh...-Jésus noir

For future reference Owenshooter if i make a thread or ask for help i don't want you to post here. I don't make the rules and can't enforce them but i kindly ask you to reframe form posting.

Yeah this is going to be more like 25 to life so im more or less finishing his games than sitting for them but who knows a good lawyer can really do some damage for or against.

Don't sweat it I'm just playing aswell and I'm not joining games thats just borrowing trouble.
I recently went on a cruise, it was great. Not with any fellow felons though... that I was aware of. Thank goodness I didn't need a sitter since I've been lacking on my games. Also, the wifi on ncl is comparable to a third world country.

Not only is this not helpful it's also an insult to me. I would appreciate it if you would refrain from making these posts.

Reframing form posts, and showing clueless and gormless chatterboxes how to fill out delete and file templates is something that Owen excels at. I'm sure for a modest fee Owen would edit most if not all your forum posts, might even make you appear to be at least semi literate, maybe even occasionally sober.
