Really not very fun or indicative of skill.

Wont be able to start round 2 until all games have finished, and some games are not close to ending currently.donche64 wrote:So, how close are we to the end of round 1? And when can we expect to start round 2 (just to manage the game load)

Thanks for the update (One game still far from ending...whoah!!)Clive wrote:7 games remain active, all except one are close to the round limit. I shall start work on the Round 1 scoreboard soon, and perhaps I can partially start Round 2 early while we wait for that one game to end.

Yeah. This is why we really need the lower round limits. Even with a 30 round limit some games take a significant amount of time to finish. I have concerns over whether it will be possible for us to complete this tournament on schedule.donche64 wrote:Thanks for the update (One game still far from ending...whoah!!)Clive wrote:7 games remain active, all except one are close to the round limit. You realize that the games are taking longer because of the round limits, right? After round 10 there's no reason to attack anymore, so everyone sits there. Without the limits (or at least 30+) you'd see the games ending much faster.Clive wrote:Clearly the length of round times for this tournament were underestimated upon design. Having spoken to bigWham about the scheduling of this tournament, he has agreed a restructure should occur now to bring the estimated completion date closer to what was intended.
What I am going to do is essentially remove what was previously listed as round 2, collapsing the tournament into 5 stages rather than 6. The main difference that only 60 participants will now advance from round 1 rather than 90. In a 120 player tournament, I feel this is a fair compromise. All 7+ player games will also have a 20 round limit for the rest of the tournament, at least until we are ahead of our completion target, to prevent games from lasting for too many months. For games with 6 players and under, I shall try 30 round limits, as they should still take less time than the larger games.
Sorry to make changes after the start of the tournament, but having seen how long round 1 is taking has brought my completion estimate to an unacceptable place, so this restructure is necessary, and it's better to make changes sooner rather than later.
Without limits games could last over 100 rounds and take years.Lord_Bremen wrote:You realize that the games are taking longer because of the round limits, right? I am still waiting on round 1 to complete.WPBRJ wrote:Are we going t get a real score board for this turny? we are in round 2 and i am not even sure how i got into the 2nd round with such poor performance from my opponents in the first round.
I will suggest this to the TD team.willedtowin1 wrote:This being the CC Championships and the recent development of

I believe all CC Champions should have Credits for a prize.
Could it be possible to revamp the prizes for these?

I started round 2 early for some players while waiting for the final round 1 game to end (and with it the final qualifier). It is taking a long time. When it ends, I will make the remaining games. Sorry for the delay, but it cant be helped.donche64 wrote:actually, I only received one invitation for Round 2 so far. Is this normal? (I don't think I missed any of them)
Thanks for your help
This tournament is too complex to run using that system.Armandolas wrote:If this is an official tournament. Then it should have an official scoreboard, like the auto tournaments. Probaly it wouls make your life much easier. Not sure
