“In the beginning God said, the four-dimensional divergence of an antisymmetric, second rank tensor equals zero, and there was light, and it was good. And on the seventh day he rested.”- Michio Kaku
I personally didn't find the first half boring, but this second half has been wildly entertaining. For American purposes, I'd still rather Ghana not win... but forgetting them, would be awesome if Ghana could find a way.

then it wouldn't be world cup
however it would be fun to have a europe vs south america cup.
ِAfricans are generating some fun though apart from Nigeria and Algeria.... even the Cameroon games were entertaining despite they are a bunch of suckers... but Asian teams games have been really terrible so far, especially Iran and Japan.

and you need his goal to be accepted I think that's the crucial part
pisses me off, had my bets right but the ref made them wrong. oh well, still doing very well overall in this wc. today was just a bad day with these las 2 games.
Not to mention the goal for Nigeria was scored after a foul...
Its more and more obvious that World Cup Judges are not capable to do the job they are payed for.
I would suggest that some of them are doing exactly what they're getting paid for. Cameroon - out. Algeria - almost out. Ghana - almost out. Ivory Coast - best players brother died before a runner up decider. That leaves Nigeria as the possible only hope for a last 16 spot - fifa farce.
No way Bosnia deserved to lose that match, even though they did play like a shadow team of what I've seen in the past few years. BTW there was no foul in the run up to the Nigeria goal.
Mueller's (German player) face looked bad. When two players saw him they quickly motioned to the bench for medical, my concern is it looked like a ruptured right eye. Let's hope he didn't hurt his eye. Just awful injury.

I think his nose was the source of all the blood, possibly broken after colliding with the Ghana player's shoulder. Hope it isn't anything serious.
Ghana played very well, it was a great match and though Germany looked fragile at defense at times, lets remember that Kedhira is recovering form little by little and should be better as the tournament advances. And it's likely they won't have to face another team with that speed, only maybe Robben will be similarly dangerous if Holland is winning.
I'm in love with the way they play, and some analysts want to credit this to the influence of Guardiola in Bayern but the truth is they were playing like this before Pep was Bayern's coach.
I'd like to see Schwansteiger starting though, not sure if for this Kedhira or Ozil should be sacrificed. I don't think Kroos will be a sub. I remember disliking Muller when he started playing for Germany but now along with Schwansteiger is my favorite German players.
group F is the worst group, i have no hopes for good games in that group. especially after Iran/Nigeria.
unfortunately these are the games i can watch, and miss games like spain/chile and US/Ghana.
at least we have Germany/Ghana to look forward to today
And what game it was! That second half was one of the best second halves so far, right up there with Spain-Holland's second half, only this one was even, not a blow out.
AoG for President of the World!! I promise he will put George W. Bush to shame!

Oh hell. Just put an offside line like hockey does and open up the game.

Hahahaha... what about the judges. New Zealand judge was celebrating with the Nigerians after the game.

Yep, go to instant replay, join the computer age, use technology, etc, get some subjective human rulings out and this will improve the game. Seems like all the other sports use computer technology to get the correct call. An umpire should be in a viewing booth to review all goals and offsides that take away a goal. Coaches should be able to throw a red flag to challenge one call per half.

germany plays like that since klinsmann, that's over 8 years ago and pep was jack shit as a coach in those days.

Agreed, review in a booth linked to the head official on the field could be an improvement. Maybe even review fouls that draw red cards too, so no divers get other players kicked out of matches.
Nobody can accuse the Algerians of being boring. 3-0 in the first half. Granted, they're playing Korea, but still. You have to beat whoever is in front of you, and that's exactly what they're doing today.
