Impressive result for Costa Rica. They looked good today. Now for the headline match of the day, England/Italy.

And first time they scored 3 points in a World Cup match, impressive showing today.

They made it to last 16 in Italy 1990 with 2 victories over Sweden and Scotland. It used to be 2 points per win at the time though!

Bah, I was sporting england and had a bet on a draw. Rooney is horrible, gerrard has no physical conditions, sterling and sturridge are pretty good. Baines was alright. I just think you should get rid of your old guard.

Rooney set up England's goal... and the first half felt like a heavy weight fight.
I really thought Italy was going to give it away in the final ten minutes of play. Fortunately England was just as spent and sloppy at that point, settling for long shots on goal. The macho hero mentality --or is it ego-- that forces the shot when there is support nearby fails again.

Am I hearing the "Puto" shout when the goalie moves the ball? Do they know what it means?
Unless there are Mexicans at the stadium..
