Actually, by what accounts there are, Attila was more Asian/Mongolian in appearance than anything, heavily suggesting his tribe(s) came from the steppes of Asia, much like the Mongols would 1000 years later.DoomYoshi wrote:Estonia is where Atilla the Hun came from. Yes, that's too bad, though. Estonia is one country that is taking up too much space on the map. Even Putin is not that insane to invade Estonia, as the consequences would be to terrible for Russia.

Tough. In 1990 the U.S. agreed not to deploy military forces in the five eastern lander of Germany, forever and in perpetuity, and they broke that agreement. Sediuk's attacks have generally not been well-received in U.S. media. The Los Angeles Times has described his escapades as having "a sinister quality," while the Hollywood Reporter has labeled him "a shameless attention fiend and mischief-maker." In reporting on Sediuk's actions at the Cannes Film Festival the Huffington Post, while noting that Sediuk calls himself a prankster, asked "is anyone really laughing? Vulture has described Sediuk as "Borat without the wit or satire," while Uproxx has called Sediuk a "creep," and The Wire has referred to him as "a reprehensible piece of human garbage."
Non-American press have also given Sediuk a cool reception. The UK edition of GQ has said Sediuk confirms "why Ukrainian comedy has yet to take over the world" and the Toronto Star has referred to him as an "unfunny prankster." The Daily Mail has dismissed Sediuk as a "serial red carpet pest."

This gives France and the African Union some claim on it's territory.

The United States on Tuesday handed back its only Central Asian airbase to the government of Russia's close ally Kyrgyzstan. Parliament in Kyrgyzstan voted a year ago to give Washington until July 11 to vacate the Manas Transit Center, which has served U.S. operations in Afghanistan since 2001.
"We were known as the gateway to Afghanistan on freedom's frontier," Colonel John Millard, commander of the 376th Air Expeditionary Wing and Manas base head, told a group of visiting media on Monday.
Obama is beset by foreign policy difficulties, from Ukraine to Syria, while Putin is riding high with the Russian public after annexing the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea in a move that the West condemned but was powerless to prevent.
In Kyrgyzstan, a poor state of 5.5 million lying on a drug trafficking route out of Afghanistan, Russia operates four installations, including the Kant air base near the capital Bishkek and a naval test site at Lake Issyk Kul.
In December 2012 Kyrgyzstan ratified a 15-year base lease deal with Russia, after Moscow agreed to write off some $500 million of Kyrgyz debt. The agreement can be automatically extended for five years after its expiry.
Next-door Tajikistan also receives Russian economic aid and ratified a deal in October to extend by three decades Moscow's military presence on its territory, which may face security threats after NATO troops leave Afghanistan.
Last week Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan signed a treaty to create the Eurasian Economic Union, seen by critics as an attempt by Putin to restore as much as possible of the former Soviet Union. Atambayev, present at the ceremony, said he hoped Kyrgyzstan would join in soon.

For example I claim that there are over 60% ethnic Russians living in Crimea at the moment. Its not very logical for someone to think that they would not want to rejoin their homeland.
But if you think that they oppose rejoining Russia then that opens a door for whole new level of stupidity.
