No worries. The rules for this war are defined by the official Conqueror's Cup 4 rules. The semi-finals and finals have 60 games, then a 7 game tie-breaker series if needed. For standard wars, you're correct, an odd number of games is normally required.Auger13 wrote:Hey Guys - just looking at the war settings from the 1st page. This reminds me of a war OSA had with PACK, we had agreed to play an even number of games, and play the tie-breaker only if necessary. Getting close to the end of the war, we were told by mods we would have to play the tie-breaker in order for the war to count (still not exactly sure why). This was about 6 months ago, not sure if the rules have changed (or if we were just told incorrectly, or if it has been overlooked here). Just thought I would mention it, if is an issue it may be better to play those games earlier as with 7 games that would certainly impact the overall outcome (as each game would count as 1 and not 1 for all 7 combined I think- although you could change it just the 1 game too if that's true I suppose).
I am just trying to be helpful here, so don't hate on me if I am wrong - I have done no fact checking on this, just went from recent memory.

Thanks mate. I think it might have been because OSA/PACK was a 40 game challenge and some time back the rules were made whereby a challenge had to comprise at least 41 games. I don't think there is any rule about a challenge having to be an uneven number of games though. We should be OK as we are playing 60 games.Auger13 wrote:Hey Guys - just looking at the war settings from the 1st page. We've actually been stone drunk the whole time, but if you're offering another keg, we'll take it! That's actually why Jackofalltrades missed those turns. Dude passed out on his keyboard. Don't you guys play drunk? I assumed from your strategy you were somehow more inebriated than us?ChrisPond wrote:"jack of all trades, master of none".Chariot of Fire wrote:Jackofalltrades missed in B.Jack earlier. He's not a jack of timekeeping, that much can be said.
in my line of work as a specialist in the pond industry, I just call these guys a "jackass" when they start messing with something they should not be. and the work they do? I call it "jackenoff". In most cases, they would accomplish more doing that than actually addressing the issue with the water feature.
Back to the jackofalltrades, stay away from my ponds and we will get along just fine![]()
enjoying my games ACE...you guys are a bit quiet though. do we need to send a keg over to the ACE headquarters to loosen you up a bit?

I would admit I am rarely sober. Just like in golf and bowling, I play better with a bit of alcohol in me. That is the real challenge here though, Just enough that I get the edge but not to much that I can't figure out my team colors.hyposquasher wrote:We've actually been stone drunk the whole time, but if you're offering another keg, we'll take it! (before someone gets mad, that's a joke)

I have 38-22, TOFU victory.angola wrote:We have it as TOFU leading 30-28 with 2 undecided.
Are y'all seeing anything different?

Exactly! This is soooo close! I'm on pins & needles.angola wrote:So, as I see it, TOFU is leading 29-28 with three games up in the air - Chicago, Conquer Rome and Stalingrad quads.
Pretty good battle here, if I may say so myself.

Wow, at this rate there may be a play-off. Great war, indeed!!!chemefreak wrote:Looks like ACE is up 27-26 right now. What a great war!
