On these rather difficult, highly strategic maps, there are many details to observe. Apparently, [player]Djelebert[/player] observed them well. In a remarkable tour-de-force, Djelebert swept the finals 4-0 to leave no doubt as to his status as tournament Champion!
There were some interesting ironies in this tournament. First, it is interesting to note that Djelebert, a Frenchman, rose to the top in a Napoleonic tournament. Perhaps a desire to vindicate
l'honneur et Glorie de l'empereur helped provide motivation?
It is also interesting to note that [player]TX AG 90[/player] was the player who originally knocked Djelebert out of the Winners' bracket, in
Game 14235822, the only game in this tournament that Djelebert lost. Thus, their meeting in the Finale was very appropriate. Bravo, TX!
Many congrats to Djelbert!
A big "thank you!" to [player]BigBallinStalin[/player] for providing the premium prize for this tournament. I thank everyone who played and offer a genuine wish that you all had a good time!
