IMPORTANT: This year your Clans qualifying and league performances are more important than ever. CL7 will see the start of promotion/relegation and the starting positions will be determined from the final positions in CL6. Clans that do not enter CL6 and subsequently decide to enter CL7 will start in one of the lower divisions.
Format for promotion and relegation CL7
With the rest of the clans we form 2 Second Divisions (A & B if you like). We form those divisions as equal as possible by dividing clans that participated in CL6 depending on their placement. Which division will be called A or B we can then determine randomly.
After CL7 is finished, the bottom 4 clans of the Premier Division relegate to the Second Divisions. Clans 9 and 12 go to one Second Division and clans 10 & 11 go to the other Second Division (again randomly).
From each second division, the top 2 clans promote to the Premier Division.
New participants: New clans, or clans that have not participated in CL6, will be randomly divided over the 2 Second Divisions.
Mergers: If 2 clans from the Premier Division merge, the new clan can stay. If one of them is not in the Premier Division, they have to start again in a Second Division.
Drop-outs: If 1 clan drops out of the Premier Division, we relegate only 3 clans. If more clans drop out we relegate the amount needed to still have 4 clans promote from the Second Divisions. If more than 4 clans drop out of the Premier Division, we promote more clans to stay on 12 clans. If we have odd numbers we promote the clan with the best record. If a clan eligible for promotion drops out, we promote the next clan of their Second Division.
cl6 format
- Phase 1: Qualifying Phase
- Phase 2: Division Phase
Both phases consist of a double round robin, i.e., each clan plays each other twice in the same round, with one round of home games and one round of away games.
Points will be awarded as follows:
- Win: 2 Points
- Draw: 1 Point
- Loss: 0 Points
The amount of groups and clans per group depends on the amount of clans signing up. The qualification for the different divisions will also depend on the amount of clans signing up. The system will be similar to CL5.
The seeding for the qualifying phase will be based on the F400 Ranking. The latest updated ranking will be used at the moment the sign-up has closed. (EDIT: Since sign-up will close April 15, we will use the April 15 F400 ranking.)
Example: If 36 clans sign up the first 6 clans of the ranking will go in one “hat”, the second 6 clans of the ranking will go in the next “hat”, etc. From every hat there will be one clan randomly drawn and those 6 clans will be one group for the qualifying phase. This will be done 6 times to end up with 6 groups. Lindax will do the drawing using random.org
Division Phase:
The amount of clans per division will depend on the amount of clans signing up. If enough clans sign up, the total amount of clans will be roughly divided by 3. The Premier and Second Divisions will have the same amount of clans (preferably close to 12). Any uneven amount of clans will go the Third Division.
Example: Using the same 36 clans we will have 3 divisions of 12 clans. The winner and runner-up of each qualifying group goes to the Premier Division, the 3 and 4 ranked clans will go to the Second Division and the rest goes to the Third Division.
The clan with the most points in each division will be the winner of that division.
Ranking
Both in the qualifying phase and the division phase clan ranking will be based on:
- Total points
- Game Difference
If points and game difference are equal between two or more clans, their ranking will be determined as follows:
Two clans:
- Difference in head-to-head results
- Difference in head-to-head game wins
- Difference in total away wins
- Difference in total away game wins
- Difference in head-to-head results
- Difference in head-to-head game wins
- Difference in head-to-head away game wins
- Difference in total away wins
- Difference in total away game wins

There are two phases in CL6: The Qualifying Phase and the Division Phase. If a clan member has played for one clan in either of those phases, they cannot play for another clan in the same phase.
Maps, Settings & Player Limits
Maps - settings - player limits
For every round the 2 clans will set up the following 8 home games with their choice of maps and settings:
- 2 Doubles
- 3 Triples
- 3 Quads
All games must be 24 hour games, i.e., no speed games.
The following settings are not allowed:
- Manual
- Freestyle
- Round Limits (Except for Trench Warfare) (Optional for No Forts and Parachute)
- Spoils: Zombie
- Reinforcements: Parachute & None (with "None, a 20 round limit is optional)
- Special Gameplay: Trench Warfare (20 round limit mandatory)
A map may not be used while it is still in Beta.
Maps can be used twice in the Qualification Phase and three times in the Division Phase. A map can only be used once per home set, per round.
The random map option can be used without limitation. This option will be used by the Division Directors if clans fail to set up their home games on time.
Players
Each round consists of a home set of 8 games and an away set of 8 games.
Players can play a maximum of 3 games per set (per set of home games and per set of away games).
Clans need to use a minimum of 10 different players per set (per set of home games and per set of away games).
Creating, Posting & Joining Games
creating - posting - joining games
At the start of every round the home clan contacts have to:
- Create the home games
- Post the home games (game number, map and settings) and the assigned players in the appropriate thread
- Invite the assigned home players to their games
After Tuesday, 18:00 hrs. CC Time, the away clan contacts have to:
- Post the assigned players for the away games in the appropriate thread
- Invite the assigned away players to their games
IMPORTANT: The deadline for joining all games is the next Sunday after the start of the round, at 18:00 hrs. CC Time. Any game not filled by that time will be dropped. If one of the 2 clans did not fill the game, the game will count as a win for the opponent. If both clans did not fill the game, it will not count.
Notes:
- Failure by the clan contacts to follow either or any of the above rules will result in a warning, repeated failure will have consequences (see General Rules).
- The Division Directors will do their best to keep on top of things, send reminders, check for inconsistencies, etc. However, the ultimate responsibility for following the above rules rests with the clan contacts.
- In the interest of fairness for all clans, any game that breaks the rules about map use, allowed settings, minimum or maximum amount of players allowed, etc. will have to be remade, even if it’s already ongoing.
- To avoid games having to be remade and help out the Division Directors, it is strongly recommended that the away clan contacts check the home games for errors before inviting their players. Please advise the Division Director if you find any error.
- It is optional to send a PM to the Division Director and the opposing clan contacts with the home games and/or assigned players.
- The TOs will send a reminder to all clan contacts a few days before every round starts.
- The Division Director will be asked to send the clan contacts reminders when necessary.
Medals
medals
To determine which players will be awarded a medal the rules of the tournament section of the “Clan Medals” topic apply.
There will also be a medal for one MVP per division.
Note: If a clan member played for one clan in the Qualifying Phase and plays for another clan in the Division Phase, the player will not be eligible for any medal.
Schedule
schedule
The actual schedule, with dates, clans, etc., will be posted when sign-up is closed. Here is an example of what the rounds would look like for a qualifying group consisting of 6 clans:

General Rules
general rules
- All the CC and Clan rules will be in effect, unless stated otherwise in this post.
- There will be no 12 hour Fog of War rule in effect. Clans can decide between them if they want to apply it.
- Game abuse like purposely running out of time or throwing a game is prohibited.
If the game creation rules are broken (use of maps, settings and/or players) the affected games will have to be remade and the original game(s) will not count. Apart from that there will be a sliding scale of repercussions:
- First offense: A warning
- Second offense: Another warning
- For every subsequent offense: The clan will receive 1 black star
If a clan continuous to break the game creation rules, more severe action may be taken.
A clan can redeem itself and get black stars taken off their record. A clan that has received 1 or more black stars will lose 1 star for every 3 rounds in a row without an offense.
Clans leaving CL6
If a clan leaves CL6 for whatever reason, the following rules apply.
- Qualifying Phase:
Example: If we have qualifying groups of 6 clans and those clans are ranked as follows in the F400:
Clan A: 2
Clan B: 9
Clan C: 14
Clan D: 21
Clan E: 27
Clan F: 35
Suppose Clan D leaves CL6. Then the clans ranked 1 & 2 after the qualifying round will go to the Premier Division. The clan ranked 3rd will go to the Second Division and the clans ranked 4 & 5 will go to the Third Division.
- Division Phase:
Comments
- If you feel that a clan or a player has broken a rule, please report this to the TOs. If a game creation rule was broken, you can also report it to the Division Director.
- If there is a problem with a Division Director, please contact the TOs.
- Lindax, the Clan Tournament Director, is ultimately responsible for running the CL6. If you disagree with a ruling by anybody else in this tournament, please contact Lindax. If you disagree with a ruling by Lindax, please contact Leehar, the Clan Department Head.
- By signing up your clan, you, your clan and your players express agreement with all the rules mentioned in this post.
- The format and the rules are subject to change if deemed appropriate by the CD Team.
Division Directors
division directors
Their tasks will be:
- Remind clan contacts to create, post and fill the games.
- Cancel games when they break the game creation rules.
- Ask the clan contacts to create new games when necessary.
- Create games and invite players if a clan doesn’t do that on time.
- Register the maps and players used by the clans for each round.
- Report to the TOs when game creation rules are broken or other problems occur.
- Post in the appropriate thread when each round is ongoing and everything is ok.
We will need at least 3 Division Directors. I have done it myself in CL5, and it requires quite a bit of time and dedication at the beginning of every round. If you would like to help out and become a Division Director, please contact me.
