For any Asterix fans, here is a CC tournament which travels through all the (occasionally tenuous) Asterix-themed maps. Like any battle with the Romans, games will be fast and frenetic: multiplayer escalating games.
Number of entrants: 32
Settings: standard, auto, sequential, escalating, chained; 4-player, 6-player or 8-player games.
Premiums only as there will be more than 4 games ongoing.

All players are randomly placed into 6 games – 3 4-player and 3 8-player games. The winner of each game receives 5 points (for 4-player games)/8 points (for 8-player), and in addition you get 1 point for each kill. The 24 players are randomly divided into 4 groups of six (top 4 players from round 1 seeded). Each group plays 8 6-player games together – all in the fog this round, since Asterix is in a foreign land… 5 points for a win, 1 point for a kill – the bottom 2 in each group miss the cut for the next round. Take on the Romans in CC’s 5 Roman maps – the remaining 16 players will be randomly split into 4 groups (the 4 round 2 group winners are seeded), and play 5 4-player games (no more fog). Same points system as before, top 2 from each group progress to the final round. Round 4: Getafix’s Magic Potion (8 players) - COMPLETE
The final 8 players will play each other in 8 8-player games. Each player will take a swig of magic potion and select the map on which they are invincible – they can also choose fog/no fog and reinforcement type. (All other settings as per the rest of tournament).
If they win their “invincible” map, they get 20 points – victory on all other games are 10 points (and as usual, 1 point per kill).
The winner of the tournament is the person with most points after the 8 games! Tiebreaker is the total number of victories throughout the tournament.
