For starters I don't think the distress call will make it off the island. That plan is just too complicated for the losties to pull off. Charlie already goofed. At least his dorky butt isn't dead though.

Ya i thought he kinda lucky...those chicks with the guns were pretty hot  But I think the others are gonna kill Bernard (Rose's husband). It's just bound to happen since he said somethin like 'don't worry i'll be fine'.

I don't know charlie said something similar and he's still alive (So far). I think that Jack will become the new leader of the others. Maybe not this season but by the end of the series.

I think that Charlie will most likely die in the season finale.

I also think that Bernard, Syid, and Jin might die in the season finale. Bernard is the best candidate to die since they brought him up after and he has barely been on the show this season.

And I think that Locke is more likely to be the new leader of the others and that could very well happen next week.

I am really looking forward to next week.

Obviously, Charlie is right at the front of the queue for dying this season finale, but theres gotta be more deaths, i seriously doubt none of our losties will return not scarred from a fight with the others.

I know what you mean about Bernard, but it would almost be as bad as the Nikki/Paulo fiasco if he just dies with little footage of him all season.

I can't see Jin dying, so much more to him than lies and secrets that Sun is covering up.
Please don't make Sayid die, that would be the worst decision in lost ever.
Jack/Locke/Kate/Sawyer/Hurley should survive, simply because they are big characters (Hurley especially :P)

Hmm, anyone else... My favourite to die is Juliet. I just can imagine it not being a happy ending for her, you know, with her wanting to get off the island so badly.

As for Ben, I don't want him to die because he such as cool character, yet it would be quite good to see Locke rise from the grave and kick his butt just like he did to Mikhail :)

Desmond's season finale is looking great at the moment, being knocked out on a boat and all ;)

I like Juliette I hope she makes it though.

I'm sure we are going to lose at least one main character. And I still think that one maybe tow of the characters that I mentioned will go.

So anyone have any speculation on who Jacob is? It was very cool to get the glimpse of him playing my recording in slow motion. (I know I'm way too into this show:))

First of all, Locke got shot and was thrown into a pit of dead people, but knowing him, he might have lived lol.

I don't think one of Syid and Jin will die...not sure which one will die but I DO think one of them will.

What does everyone think about they are all apparently dead? There must be some explanation to this i think, something like the others put the plane with dead bodies there so they stop searching :P

I thought I heard people from both sides would die.

I hope not Ben, because even though he's evil, he sure has a lot of charisma! I may have to agree with the Bernard thing. B. and Rose just pop up after a year.

Maybe Russeaux , Russo, or however her name is spelled.

Locke looks to be nearly dead, but I hope not. We all know the island has those healing properties. Look at eye-patch Russian guy.

Desmond hasn't been wrong yet with his visions, so I think maybe Claire and the baby WILL be rescued. Looks like Charlie has some 'splaining to do before he dies, if indeed they kill him off.

I actually have some facts to back up the Jack claim though. I also don't think Jin or Syid will die as they are too important in the show and Jin is just starting to learn english.

I don't want charlie to die. and while it may be controversial my favorite character is Sawyer at this point. (Jack's too much of a dick.)

I have no idea who Jacob is but the only thing that would make any sense right now is the black smoke monster.

Sorry for the multi. posts.

I think it will happen. All of Desmond's visions have come true so far. Also if you watched the previews for next week they showed clips of Charlie being interrogated and Desmond trying to save him in the Looking Glass. I do however think theres a chance that Des saw himself and Penny leaving in the helicopter, not Claire and the baby. Either way, I strongly believe Charlie dies because they've been setting it up all season....and we already said good bye to him last episode.

Theres no way Ben dies. We are just beginning to scratch the surface of what he's all about. Juliette is a possibility. Bernard is certainly a strong candidate since they just brought him back up (much like Ardst and Paolo/his girl).

happy2seeyou wrote:I keep re-watching it online trying to catch anything I may have missed. I am sooo hooked on this show.

Here are some recent things you may have missed that I find intriguing:

In the most recent episode, one of Charlie's favorite memories was when the woman called him a hero after he saved her from the mugger. That woman was the same person who had Sayid chained up and was interrogating him to find out if he had been her own torturer. It's one more connection between characters from before they reached the island. I think by the end of the show everyone will have been connected previously in some way.

#2- This theory comes from someone who realized that Jake and Claire were half siblings before we found out in the show. He recognized Claire's mother though she was barely shown before- very observant fellow.

Anyway, in one of the episodes this season (I think it was when the main characters were in the hatch where Paolo hid the diamonds) Kate fond some Apollo bars (candy bars) and said they she always used to eat them when she was a little girl. Then in the episode with flashbacks to Ben's childhood, his little girl friend offered him an Apollo bar and said they could have as many as they liked on the island. What that connection means exactly I'm not sure, because Kate is much younger than Ben, so I don't think its her. But I believe theres a strong chance that the little girl was Kate's mom (Kate's dad was also in the military I believe so he may have been involved with Darma in some way). Either way, the little girl will surely be important in the future since we don't know her current location, but Ben still has the doll replica of her. I think the candy bar connection is very important.

Oh, and I was really happy to see the scene where Ben's dad got the workman clothes. That episode with Hurley pop starting the van was terrible because it wasn't related to anything else we had seen. So it was great to see why they added the van in, and how Roger was actually Ben's dad.

Well, I know I've written a lot already, but what does everyone think of Richard (the guy who Ben met in the woods when he was a little boy)? He is the only native hostile that we know about....everyone else was born off the island and brought there. But its interesting to see that he has not aged since he first met Ben, while Ben got about 50 years older. It seems safe to assume that none of the hostiles age, and I would guess there are 1 or 2 others that we don't know are hostiles yet. The fact that the hostiles don't age, that mothers always die on the island, that everyone who is there COULD have died (all were in accidents)....it makes it seem like Locke's father was right when he said they were in hell. The only reason I don't believe that is we still have 3 seasons to go, so theres no way thats the big secret to everything.

One last thing- I'm interested to see just how Ben got to be so powerful and I hope the struggle between Richard/Ben continues to grow. And of course I want to know what the heck Jacob is.

Man, I sure hope he's not dead. He has been my favorite character on that show. I would say Desmond is a close second.

In a related story...did you guys know that J.J. Abrams has been slated to direct the DARK TOWER stories into a mini-series! It makes sense as LOST is produced almost in the same fashion as Stephen King writes his stories. I was really jazzed about that news.

Anyway, I also think that Bernard will be the next one to die. If Charlie's going to die, they are really stringing it out for us.

I'm going to bring this back from page three :)

A couple of people said something about them being in purgatory/hell.

Did you see the Lost: Answers show? The producers said that they are not in hell and they have said that several times. Then they said something that seems very significant. They said that they are somewhere in the space time continuum.

Sully was that woman that called Charlie a hero the torture victim or was that Syid's girl? I kind of thought it was Syid's girl that he was traveling to see.

I didn't catch the apollo bar connection that is an interesting one.
