My group's "next game" (Game 13006254 Peloponnesian War) lacks the trench setting, so I am dropping the invitation to allow the game to be remade with the trench setting included - thanks...
Great tourney in so many ways and from my perspective, seems like something that was very difficult to organise, so a big big thanks for persevering with this one for the past 3 years. I and, I'm sure all the other participants, really appreciate all your and everyone elses hard efforts.
A little sad it’s coming to an end now but here's to a proper battling final game.
Yes, indeed, thank you for rescuing and hosting this three year tournament! Is this possibly a new CC record for the longest tournament ever? Maybe all six finalists should be given general achievement medals for sheer perseverance?!
I have a question about the scoring for the final round - I thought we had started the final round with a clean slate, but now I see that the points from the semi-finals were carried over into the finals. However, it appears that differing numbers of games were played among the various groups in the semi-finals. If so, then in the semi-finals, not all players had the same number of opportunities to win points, leading perhaps to inequalities? Also, there were different numbers of players in the various semi-final games, leading to "last place" finishes with varying points, depending on the number of players in the game. Interestingly, here is how the two methods compare, going into the last active game of the finals:
lacika: 27 vs 107 (2nd place both methods)
cookie: 24 vs 98 (3rd place/4th place)
calicus: 14 vs 86 (6th place both methods)
doro: 20 vs 99 (5th place/3rd place)
catnip: 34 vs 110 (1st place both methods)
arno: 21 vs 87 (4th place/5th place)
So it is still between me and lacika for the overall tournament win, however one method has a 7 point separation between our scores, the other method has a 3 point separation between our scores...

The points will be carring over so the scores that are posted are correct.
