I think it could work quite well as one. With this map "USA 2.1" staying an 8 player map.

And I found a "real" bug (as opposed to the other stuff which is just a matter of taste I guess): The Rockies capitals bonus includes Omaha instead of Lincoln for Nebraska.

I can see having them 2-5. Having airports at 2 but resetting should maybe be a consideration.iancanton wrote:i'm surprised that the airports have n5 neutral. i thought it was n2, with the n5 on anchorage being a mistake. it does make some sense that the airports are more than n2, but having to go thru 10 neutrals just to take a flight seems a bit extreme.

i know exactly what u mean. i missed my plane once, going from toronto to detroit, because of the thoroughness of the TSA in processing each passenger.isaiah40 wrote:It's the TSA security check points, it's the hassles!iancanton wrote:i'm surprised that the airports have n5 neutral. i thought it was n2, with the n5 on anchorage being a mistake. it does make some sense that the airports are more than n2, but having to go thru 10 neutrals just to take a flight seems a bit extreme.

killer neutral airports cannot be used for this map because the airports are part of the state bonuses. the road through calgary, which does have a killer neutral, works because calgary is not part of any bonuses.ViperOverLord wrote:I can see having them 2-5. the USALive (2).xml file still has this error.Olinguito wrote:Noticed that in the game log, Missouri is abbreviated as MI instead of MO. No mistake though in the graphics (mini-map and legend for St Louis).

There are two capital bonuses, the standard capital bonus and the interstate capital bonus. Your game is fog so I can't check it.Robespierre__ wrote:Are you only supposed to get a single +1 bonus for the capitals? The way the map index reads it seems like you get +1 for every 2 capitals but I am definitively not getting that in my present game. If you are only entitled to one bonus, I think the map index should be correct to indicate as such.

It is actually +3 - +1 for holding 2 capitals, and +2 for holding capitals on an interstateTheFlashPoint wrote:I love this map! Ive noticed two things that give students of this map an advantage over novices.
1) holding the capitals of minnesota and iowa seems to give a +4 bonus. If this is intended to be a subsidy for occupying those states, novices would benefit from having this information up front.
I'm not sure what you mean by this?TheFlashPoint wrote:2) i play fog almost exclusively on this map. Given the large list of variable bonuses (and their static order in the console readout), it is often possible to divine an opponent's holdings through mere familiarity with the map.
