While I'm not one to question that generally speaking TOFU is amongst the favored clans to win, I think Fallen will only end up 1 pt behind TOFU in the end. We actually will have lost less matches (2 FALL, 3 TOFU) while unfortunately we drew more matches leaving is with less points. However, having 5 draws means just 1 game result changing would have earned us 2 additional points and pushed us past TOFU this year. (and we beat tofu in our head to head)

Was going to say, The Fallen have impressed throughout and deserve a nod. Had the points been awarded in the other, more widely-used, fashion (2 for a win, 1 for a draw, which makes far more sense imo) then I think they would have finished above TOFU. 3pts for a win was only introduced into football to encourage teams to try and score goals and not settle on a draw. As that scenario cannot correlate to Risk then I can't really fathom why it is used.

Thanks for the kudos, I was curious earlier about 'what if' 2 vs 3 had been used, but hadn't had the time to figure out the potential implications.

I just looked:

LOW currently 10-3-2 and looks like they'll finish 11-3-2, which would mean 11x2 + 3 x 1 = 25 pts, with approximately 46 games +/-
TOFU currently 9-3-3 and looks like they'll finish 10-3-3, which would mean 10x2 + 3x1 = 23 pts, with approximately 32-33 +/-
FALL currently 9-5-2 and will stay that way. which means we will be 9x2 + 5x1 = 23 pts, and will pick up a number of games positive in the last set so likely 35+ +/-

So, LOW would still win but yeah looks like Fallen would be 2nd....just barely. But thats a bunch of what if's and all that. Either way, it was a great competition.

You'd be equal on points but having won the head-to-head would be above us, so the +/- games differential doesn't figure into it. Anyway...kudos deserved, you guys played extremely well.

And I'm glad to see that there are still games still active. I thought my dice were the slowest peices of plastic south of the north pole and that our trips was last game in the tournament lol. It appears that it is not so. Only right too... a trips beating a quads for the honours would be an honour my dice can do without.

Clan Directors will issue a medal for being the MVP along with the war medals.
Usually the organizer puts forth some recommendation of who it will/should be.
