I have to agree. We have gameplay stuff that will carry us over for a bit. Let's get the Clans, Newsletter, and maybe some XML/Foundry/WhatDukmentioned updates done! I know Clans and Newsletter has been waiting for a long long time and have been promised multiple times.Dukasaur wrote:From the list above, I think multiple and/or unlimited adjacents is the next logical step in game improvements. I also checked off Paratroop reinforcement; even though I don't think it would be a particularly important upgrade, I do think it would be fun to try.
However, rather than more improvements to the game, I would like to see them catch up on some of the administrative stuff. The Clans database for the Clans team, the newsletter tool for the Media team, and above all, first and foremost, over and above everything, a searchable map database for the foundry, so if you want to set up a tournament on all the maps with bombardments (for instance) you could find those at a glance without manually slogging through the descriptions of all the maps.

I'll add these in next time i update it, thanks for the input.greenoaks wrote:2 of those options are mine![]()
There is one not on the list i'd like to see implemented but it could probably use some more discussion first - Conquest - it is a new type of deployment where you start with just 1 territory.
Another i believe they are already working on is Team Terminator & Assassin. This is more likely now that we have 12 player games.![]()
A simple one is Italicize Spoils if owned by a Teammate. It fits with the other user-friendly changes made such as advising what spoils make a set or bolding what spoils you hold on the map.
Above all though, a Suggestion Medal to recognise the contributions made to the site is a must. We have them in Clans, Tournaments and the Foundry. It is about time this forum encourages and rewards the contributions made within it.
that is not a good idea. whenever you update, all previous votes are lost.patrickaa317 wrote:I'll add these in next time i update it, thanks for the input.greenoaks wrote:2 of those options are mine![]()

Right, that's why i'm not going to update it anymore until after some things get implemented or a bunch of new suggestions show up.greenoaks wrote:that is not a good idea. whenever you update, all previous votes are lost.patrickaa317 wrote:I'll add these in next time i update it, thanks for the input.greenoaks wrote:2 of those options are mine![]()

I contemplated that but it seems bigwham wants to keep all suggestion related stuff in the suggestions bucket. And I figured this may serve as a prioritizer for them at some point, if it gets enough people voting and what not. Right?spiesr wrote:Shouldn't this be over in GD?
i thought so too as this is a discussion about CCspiesr wrote:Shouldn't this be over in GD?

agree...more technical stuff should be priority now...we had 2 gameplay changes in the last days. Lets not put everything we have on the tableDukasaur wrote:

You control a trips team vs my trips team; essentially 1v1 but we each have a few different colors we control.Shannon Apple wrote:What are 2 player team games? I don't get it. How can 1v1 be a team?

or is this a joke suggestion. Never know with you lot.

Ah, okay. Thanks. =)patrickaa317 wrote:You control a trips team vs my trips team; essentially 1v1 but we each have a few different colors we control.Shannon Apple wrote:What are 2 player team games? I don't get it. How can 1v1 be a team?

How much do each of those really matter compared to implementing game suggestions?Dukasaur wrote:

I'm not defending the suggestion as I don't think I'd personally care for it but in your example, from a to b, would be one turn; b to c would have to be on a different turn. You can move each of your troops 1 territ per turn; no more. Check out that thread for what is going to be a way to describe it.BoganGod wrote:unlim adj? WTF people? Kind of destroys the premise of adj forts. With unlimited you move troops from a, to b, to c,to d, to e, to f, to g, etc. Why not just have unlim forts(we have that already) and move troops straight from a - g
The entire premise of adj is to punish those who won't/can't think ahead. Rewards strategic thinkers. Unlim adj rewards time rich brainless dipshits who have the time to spend an hour slowly shuffling troops from one side of the map to the other. LOGIC FAIL
i don't support unlim adj either but 3 moves would bring it alive for a medium size map and 5 for those huge ones.BoganGod wrote:unlim adj? WTF people? Kind of destroys the premise of adj forts. No, that's not what unlimited adjacent forts means. It means you can move all your armies, but only one square at a time. You can't move them from a to b, b to c, etc. Once they've moved from a to b, that's their move for the turn, they can't move again.BoganGod wrote:unlim adj? WTF people? Yes, I believe it does. The core game engine is built by paid programmers, but all the other content on the site -- the maps, the tournaments, the clans, the newsletters, the strategy articles, the entertainment events, the auxiliary tools, and more -- are built by volunteers. Supporting the work of those volunteers makes sense. And yes, indirectly this very much improves the experience of the customer, and the likelihood that he will renew his membership and contribute to the health of the firm.BigBallinStalin wrote:How much do each of those really matter compared to implementing game suggestions?Dukasaur wrote:...rather than more improvements to the game, I would like to see them catch up on some of the administrative stuff. Do they increase value for a majority of CC users or for a small, special-interested group (e.g. those who pound out the Newsletters)?
Does satisfying the minor group lead to greater satisfaction for most users?
And does implementing the non-gameplay suggestions contribute to the goal of this firm (presumably, profit through customer satisfaction)?
