Thanks for a great map Isaiah, I'm playing my first game on it (terminator trench flat rate) and it's been going very nicely so far

Augusta, GA (number 38) has it's numbers around 10-20px too far over to the left. If anyone needs any clarification, please PM, since chances are good I will forget to check back in on the thread.

I only see that you have 3 (Lansing, Madison, Santa Fe). Am I missing 1?docchaos wrote:The plus 1 for every 2 capitals doesn't seem to work right.
In the game I play (Game 12807922), I currently have 4 capitals, but only get a bonus of 1, shouldn't that be 2? I didn't check everybody else, but at least red and grey have 4 or more capitals and get only +1 as well.

It's adding up correct, but the game log and bob aren't showing the extra state capitals.Gilligan wrote:Augusta
Looks right to me though, 9 for territs + 2 for capitals + 1 Maine + 3 New Mexico = 15.
Game log didn't show the extra capital bonus because I only took it last turn, so that's correct.isaiah40 wrote:It's adding up correct, but the game log and bob aren't showing the extra state capitals.Gilligan wrote:Augusta

Is this a deliberate move to make the map more challenging, or is it just the way it is? If it's not deliberate it seems like a fairly significant flaw. If it is deliberate... well, it'll be fun seeing my opponents make weird moves.iancanton wrote:other cities, such as berlin and augusta, also have twins in other states. i suggest that, in game chat, u use buffalo ny and buffalo wy to avoid confusion.random21 wrote:i noticed there are two buffalo on this map. new york and wyoming. could not 1 be changed?

I believe the intent was to make it as geographically accurate as possible (I think Isaiah said at some point that Buffalo, WY is the only major city to cross both I90 and I25 or something like that)niMic wrote:Is this a deliberate move to make the map more challenging, or is it just the way it is? The issue with this could be that it would mess up the dropdown menu. BUFFALO would come after Bzzzzzzzzzz.Aleena wrote:Maybe to distinguish between the two they can be named this way:

One in all caps to indicate the other position - it's an easy fix that could help?

Yes I placed Buffalo WY on the map because it is the junction of I25 & I90, the same reason I removed Cincinnati Oh from the original USA map pack and added in Dayton Oh. In game chat just make sure you mention what state as iancanton suggested.Gilligan wrote:I believe the intent was to make it as geographically accurate as possible (I think Isaiah said at some point that Buffalo, WY is the only major city to cross both I90 and I25 or something like that)niMic wrote:Is this a deliberate move to make the map more challenging, or is it just the way it is? Well they are distinguished in the drop down as Buffalo NY and Buffalo WY, so it does help. Also you have the mini-maps to help with were the states are located.Aleena wrote:Maybe to distinguish between the two they can be named this way:

Glad you love the map!!Clive wrote:Love the gameplay of this map. some of the bonuses feel unbalanced though. KY is overpowered at +4, it's easy to get. Feels like it should be a +2 maybe +3. For example NE is +2 bonus and more difficult than KY. Possibly NE could be a +3 bonus. MI at only +3 is a lot of work for a relatively small bonus. There are others that are possibly underpowered, for example NM, FL, AK.
You are the first person since I redid the state lines awhile ago. For right now, I am reluctant to redo them unless I see more players mentioning the same thing. As for the ovals, I had the circles at one time, but because of the 888's always going outside the circles and running unto the interstates, some of the numbers disappeared. So the ovals pretty much fixed the problem.yunto10 wrote:Played this map a lot lately with it now in beta. And I must admit that the map is pretty clogged up, you could do with making the boundaries more prominent in each state and making the ovals into circles to reduce the amount wasted because that map is huge I think personally.
I think the borders are fine the way they are. They are clearly visible but not too strong, so the emphasize is still on the connections and not on the borders.isaiah40 wrote: You are the first person since I redid the state lines awhile ago. Maybe you could be a bit more specific...Bradley Bomber wrote:I really don't get this map. What the heck are all the things on the side? I against it unless you can make it make more sense.
