Right. Conquest game play means a large number of neutral territories to work through before engaging the enemy, and I find that a bit tedious at times. Classic play for me!

Treasures of Galapagoes? I always thought that was a 'conquest' map

Anyway, yea everyone seems to think classic style is maps without special gameplay in it. But they are mistaken! Go for classic there's so much you can do there, in classic style every territ matters in conquest there is so many territs that no-one ever touches (if they play correctly), we dont want wasted space on our Newest Best map ever!!

I'll opt for Classquest style gameplay.

Classic is the way to go. Conquest is fun at times but it becomes a total roll of the dice, no pun intended. The person that either knows the map, goes first, or gets better dice will win pretty much every time. We are not making a run of the mill map it should be a really good one that we will all like to play over and over again. Not just a few times until we get it down and then it turns into a tool for points.

So I'm really digging Conquer Rome right now. Is that Classic or Conquest gameplay? It seems to have elements of both in it.

I'm still undecided here. =)

Classic, it just has a higher number of neutrals coded in and uses starting positions. But the rest of the board is a random drop.

Conquest will always only allow you to drop on certain regions only. Feudal war, you cannot drop on a village, AYBBTU, you can only drop on a home region.

I chose classic ... seems more relevant!

+1 to Classic, where anything is possible. Conquest-type maps are tedious.

I only like AoR2 for conquest. So I guess if we made a good conquest map I'd be happy. But chances of me liking it is slim so classic for me!!!

I, too, am still mad over the small map voters. Sigh.

Anyway, I am going classic. I want this to be a map that can be played over and over again and I can't think of a conquest-style map I feel that way about.

I think a lot of players are the same way. Conquest is nice for the odd game, but not really for long term fun.

I find the following errors immediately (maybe they weren't the ones you were expecting but prove me wrong!):

1. You need to submit a form - why can't you design the site to read my mind?
2. Describing the game options is SOOO unhelpful, where are the cheat sheets?
3. There is no single player option, mind you I'd probably still lose!
4. You have mis-spelled "Better" designated games - not sure why the new ones are always better than the old ones, they just are!
5. There is no option to deply your opponent's initial troops, how weird.
6. There is no option to block your opponent's moves, only auto and sequential - why not have a dicve throw between each move and if your dice is better then you get another go.
7. The unlimited reinforcement is simply misleading, the reinforcements are limited to the number of troops you own. How many times have I made that mistake!
8. There is no special gameplay options of randomly blinking fog or leap-frogging!
9. The "none" option of round limit is actually "unlimited" - just in case you make that mistake like me. Imagine my surprise when the game actually started and then proceeded to go on forever - I was expecting it to finish in a draw and then for once not actually lose a game!
10. There are no random length options. Everything is SOO predictable!
11. The tournament drop-down does not let you get back into tournaments where you lost. Such a shame.
12. Not every game needs a label - why? Such a lack of stricture.
13. If you put in a password then it stops others from being able to join unless they know it. You are not permitted to assist others with anything secretly that might help them. How are they ever going to be able to play you without breaking that rule. So strange!
14. There's no "reset the form button" for idiots like me who randomly click boxes.
15. There's no "play again" button option - oh no you have to come back here and fill out the form again - no doubt incorrectly - and take so long doing so that your favourite opponent gets bored and leaves!
16. There is a distinct lack of hippo images!

On a serious note:

1. There is an option for 12 players, which we do not currently have.
2. It says "Classic" in the map drop-down, but the map shown next to the drop-down is Austrum.
3. Despite Austrum being a Beta map, the image of Austrum is fully visible, without the word "Beta" in red letters.
4. In the warning about Beta maps, it says "balanced" where it should say "unbalanced."
5. The "e" and "n" in "Trench" are backwards.
6. The "n" in "Trench" comes before the "e," when it should come after.
7. The button at the bottom should say "Create," not "Play."

That's all I found.
