If you actually read the post, Edoc said that he had already backed himself up enough so he didn't have to bother with quoting more, which is something else entirely. I'll vote thehippo for that.

I'll have limited access to this thread this weekend until Monday. I will try to read it, but I doubt that I will be able to post.

With about 48 hours to scheduled deadline vote hippo because a) we're more likely to get a repsonse from him than geegel and b) I'd rather lynch someone for their scummy posting than voting someone for not posting.

While I am not a seasoned veteran here, I know that hippo usually does alot of waffling, but it seems this is a bit much.

I think there is something scummy about his posting, looking at Edoc's post and reasoning. It all seem very suspicious to me.

What's to say, I've tried to inject a little life into what has been a rather flat game. But hey, there's excitement aplenty for me now! Counter the case against me? What case?" So Edoc doesn't like me waffling, at least my waffle is better than other players doing nothing. But sure, go ahead and smack the hippo!

Anyway, I take it that the purpose of the pressure is to get a claim. No harm there because with a deadline looming it's better to have some info than none. So, here it is ... I am Mr R. I am the town tracker.

Well, I wish that it was something useful. I tracked Zimmah and he visited Mr W (Campin) ... but y'all know that he did!

Sounds like a very easy action to fake. "I tracked the only action that everyone can be certain is true and no-one can call me out on it."

I'm not sure what the votes are at, but I will wait for others to comment before voting. I am prepared to vote hippo because tbh it rubs me the wrong way... It may just be an unfortunate coincidence but I'm doubting it.

It seams super convenient.
But lately there have been so many mis lynches of town I just dont want to put my vote on him today....Especially without some kind of counter claim.
Im more happy to leave it for a day...wait for tomorrows actions and if it is 'convenient again' then lynch away and see what we learn. If that makes sense.

Let's face it ... we are very early in this game. I got lucky I picked the SK ... can't say I'll be lucky again but ther it is! Frankly if I was YOU I'd give that at least one more chance. If I get something wrong overnight then feel free to lynch but I am as honest as the day is long (and frankly it is long enough) so why not at least lynch thatscummariner and if you don't like that then feel free to pick me off. But I ain't lying ... never have ... never will.

We've only had one mislynch in this game, other games shouldn't affect this one.

No but most of the same people are playing. Mis lynches are happening often. Its just a thought.

Is no lynch a mislynch?

Actually, you were following Safari's vote and Nag's implied FoS, here. So much for injecting life into the game. As to your claim, see next paragraph.

Heh, yeah, right. I would find it conspicuous if you had claimed the late SK in whatever game we were, but you chose to track Zimmah? No offence to either one of you, but it seems to me that there are many much more interesting players to follow. My vote stays.

I think a ML on hippo could be costly. Tracker can prove to be a useful role, and he may bring some decent evidence to the table later. It is also a hard role to fake claim, as he could easily get caught out, we just need him to post his evidence regularly.

so aage...becuase he tracked zimmah you think that makes him suspicious. What?
A mis lynch is when someone is lynched who shouldnt be.
Nag is spot on. It will be obvious tomorrow or the next day if he has faked this claim. Why lynch a claimed townie.

Unvote

I am of the opinion that he should swing, but I will wait another day on the chance that I am wrong. If your track is sketchy tomorrow we will be right back where we started.

Admittedly, we have to lynch someone today. We already no-lynched yesterday. Hippo's defence leaks on all sides except where he claimed to be a town power role who very coincidentally tracked the dead SK. Of course, there are more people in this game, and pressuring some is a good idea. Letting someone run with a defence that I can simply disprove only by looking at two of his latest posts, however, is not. I guess it's just my own view towards this, and if you want to wait for tomorrow, fine, I can't stop you. Putting my vote where my suspicions lie is just what I do.

As to "why lynch a claimed towny", everyone will claim towny. If you only lynch people who claimed scum, you're going to have a bad time.

I'll be honest. I'm really having trouble backing any of the cases. I'm a bit inclined to vote Aage but it's for little more than I do think Hippo should get a second night to prove his action (though perhaps he should be busdriven so he doesn't become a cult recruit?) and Aage currently has the most votes and is the most likely sucessful lynch candidate which is a bit moot right now with the deadline extended indefinitely (or at least until the mod regains power).

I'm going to go for an alternative. There was a semi-decent case made about vodean earlier:

aage wrote:SK dead so early is great. Thanks mafia.

Night kill analysis is hard, since the SK and the doc probably knew as little as we do.

Yesterday wasn't very productive and the only lead I have is that Vodean seems scummy (for a change). In response to Strike Wolf's "over-defence", he didn't vote for him once despite making several posts in which he seems to imply that SW is scummy. It seems very non-Vodeanish not to vote on that. Normally he puts his money where his mouth is. So FoS for that, and that's all.

It's not the best case we've ever had but I don't think with the exception of the hippo case (which as I've said I think he does deserve a second night to prove himself) it's about as good as anything else we have once you factor in that she's also been absent from this thread since the 22nd. So worst case scenario we lynch an inactive. Most likely scenario Vode starts talking. Best case scenario we end up lynching scum. Vote vodean I'm in favor of getting an inactive to talk.

As far as other leads. I don't think it would be counter productive to hear Hippo's reasoning for choosing his target.
