For the record, I sense some of you are getting discouraged losing your opening 2 matches. You can easily have a chance to make it Conference play with 2 wins 2 losses, considering 2 of 5 players advance. And third place has the chance to get lucky and make it through with a playoff game.

Round 3 created for Egypt: Upper division.

27 of our divisions are in Round 3, and quite a few have already finished. However, we still have some divisions in Rounds 1 and 2; as a result, I'm going to wait a day or two to let these divisions catch up before kicking off Round 4.

Consider that a "halftime" break. Thanks for the patience.

And, I just had to take off Friday the 13th ( :twisted:

), so that's why there was no update yesterday. Didn't want to jinx any of your wicked dice :lol:

A 5-player standard game, yes, would be the procedure in this very rare instance.

In this case, comparing head-to-head results would have the same effect, since all five players are tied, and would have 2 wins each.

A good resolution for what, sometimes, appear to be luck-based 1v1 games.

Nine of the 35 divisions are still in play, after just over a month of tournament competition.

August 18 Update

Twelve days since an update, yes it has arrived long overdue! August can be a life-changing month for a person of my age, where "real" world, should we choose to call it so, takes precedence over the reputation of daily tourney updates. Hope the stock hasn't taken too much of a hit.

Anyway, it is my pleasure now to commence the first of the Wildcard games, where third-placed players that decided to take part in the conference play format have a final chance to advance with a clutch 1v1 game.

As promised, I'm working on those stats from 1v1 play and have nearly finished. Some interesting findings should follow

I've created the first of the Conference games, where we'll finally progress from the 1v1 stage to the 4-5 Player Standard stage. For some of you, here's a new chance for you to show off your more traditional risk-taking skills. Those that can adapt well from 1v1 play to more involved play will find success.
