Okay, we have a couple replacements.

[player]Heatz[/player] disappeared right after phase 2 and was replaced by [player]soccerghost[/player]. However, soccerghost has now also disappeared, and therefore [player]ckyrias[/player] gets to continue.

[player]Mr. CD[/player] has also quit CC, and therefore [player]J_Indr[/player], who was first out in Mr. CD's previous game, gets a new lease on life.

At least in your group, if Milen doesn't renew his premium we drop him and we don't have to replay the game. It's the other ongoing game that's bothering me...

I suppose we could. I have a couple of problems with it.

1. I find round limits distort strategy. You get people playing for the round limit instead of playing to win. I'm starting to accept them as a necessary evil, but I still don't like them.
2. No Spoils games are inherently slow. In escalating you can say that if someone hasn't made their move by round 15 they're not going to, but in No Spoils someone may in fact be building for 20 or 30 rounds with the full intention of launching a major offensive after that, and it might require two or three major offensives to bring it home.

All that being said, I am interested in keeping my customers happy, so if we get a number of you asking for a shorter round limit I'm willing to put my personal feelings aside and yield to popular demand.

For anybody who's wondering, the "usual rule for replacement" in this tourney series has been that I resurrect the person who was eliminated in the disappeared player's last successfully-joined game. In this case, however, the player eliminated from coreykm's last game would be J_Indr, who was eliminated not in the game but for losing premium status, and who cannot be resurrected.
