i've only played one mafia game before this one so i'm still learning and heavily relying on guides and tutorials to realise what means what and what i must do or don't do.

i looked in a glossary of terms and found EBWOP but could not find WWGD

i noticed it here: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=3782458#p3782458

I'm going to be a dick for a second but I think somebody has to.

I think I can guess why you were run out of the last place you played mafia. Showing up and questioning the way people here are playing and questioning there dedication to the game probably isn't the best strategy to being accepted. You need to relax.

Yea.. I don't like his attitude toward people here. I can get questioning the play style but saying we don't dedicate enough time?

Unvote Vote Yomiel

We are a relaxed community here. We'll never be perfect but insulting players isn't a way to go. Be lucky Chap isn't PLAYING this one.. he'd probably rip you to shreds when he gets in his moods, so would a few others. This is my first serious vote of the game for insulting how we play isn't a good strategy, nor is saying "but that doesn't mean people should put off playing it" What? We are like 2-3 rl days into the game.. How fast do you want us to lynch someone?

What would Gibbs do?

Anyways, the problem with the Squirrel case is that you are basically chasing a shadow. there's nothing to the case. you're just voting someone for a joke vote .

as far as the case on Yomiel. I won't be joining it. i'll disagree with what he has said but there is very little to actually say he is evil and I would more say misdirected town with good intentions as my early read.

FOS happyfeet for not posting once despite the game starting 6 pages ago.

also, i'm curious, shouldn't there be like a generic list of roles?

as i said before i've played only once and in that game there was a list of roles and it was very helpful because we kinda had an idea of what was in the game and as it progressed it made it easier to speculate and analyse who's who. for example in that game there was the mafia, a cult leader that recruited people and a serial killer.
without such a list we don't know if there's one or more factions of bad guys or what sort of power roles the town might have.

I dont know about anyone else but I was busting Yomiel chops because he is new. I also beleive that the votes on Yomiel are joke votes meant to welcome him to the club. The only reason I did not joke vote him was so he didnt get flustewred even more

There is no case DUH. The same with squirrel.

With 16 alive, it take 9 to lynch. Deadline in about 263 hours.

Yomiel, I like your spirit and your spirit will be fitting in time, IMO. However, the beginning of the game is usually a little boring like this. All of the votes thus far (with the exception of jak's vote for you) have been joke votes. That even includes your joke vote on isaiah. With a couple of CC Mafia beginners, I also might remind everyone of rule 6c.

It is very rude to assume you have any idea what I went through on that other site. If I were to even tell you the full details, I'd probably get in trouble, because it was very nasty.

And you're getting on my case for thinking you don't devote enough time to the game? You guys told me you spend two months just making joke votes. You told me anything I said would be ignored until then, and so far, it has been. I made a point about someone being suspicious, and no one said a word about it.

I am not joking when I vote Squirrel-I am genuinely suspicious of him due to his behavior.

And my vote isn't on isa. I changed it to Squirrel pages ago...

The deadline was 12 days so when someone said the joke votes will last a few months was clearly joking.

It will get serious it just might take longer than the games you are used to.

I think you will fit in well here once you have played a few you will get a feel for how it is played here. You are active though and that is good =D>

We just have to bear in mind that not everyone has the same amount of free time on their hands so it can be slow at times.

I didn't vote for isa in red either. I don't know how to use red bold...

I just don't feel like I'll fit in anymore. Having everyone suddenly jump on me just makes me extremely uncomfortable, and saying it's a joke doesn't make it feel any different.

OK I WAS being polite earlier, So far no one is really ignoring you, just not responding to a case that doesnt exist on squirrell,One of the things that aggravate me badly is someone skimming and you are doing miles of it. IB for one was being nice also,go back and you will see that he is outright telling you that at this point there cant really be a case on either of you.

Chill dude play the game, all of the rest of us are,in our own way getting reads on everyone else, and that usually involves meta'ing from previous games.

You havent played before here so everyone is being nice and not pointing out to you,There is no way you can have a serious vote on someone this early into the game, especially when you have never played with them before.

Now if squirrell continues to act strange,it will be taken very serious by all.

No one is attacking you personally,We are trying to get you to understand how this game is played here.

I just realized who you remind me of . Hmmmm

I am NOT skimming. I've read the topic and am keeping very detailed notes. I just don't find it nice when people let me vote incorrectly without pointing out I made a mistake or try to trick me or ignore me or vote for me en masse.

If I'm being that my serious vote won't be taken seriously largely because I'm new here, then that's not something I find very welcoming at all.

Instructions for Bold and red.
 1. Click 'Post Reply'
 2. Click Font Colour
 3. Click a red color
 4. Click the bold B at the far left.
 5. Type who you want to vote in the middle of the brackets.
Before you submit, it should look like this:

Code: Select all

vote Mr. Squirrel

It will come out like this: vote Mr. Squirrel

Not counting your vote has nothing to do with newness. It has to with not being formatted correctly. It needs to be formatted correctly for 2 reasons. First, it makes it easier for me to find. But more importantly, you may be talking about voting someone in normal font and you don't want that counted. So, votes need to stand out for these reasons.
