You mean versus your France map? This map started a little over a month earlier. So I guess if you finish your map in the next month you can still win this race that none of us knew was happening. :)

i'm also using fireworks. am i in the same battle?
am i winning something?

i got animation and village people on my said. beat this.

At this point in time after a whole 10 people have given their opinion, V33-8 is in the lead...below. Thank-you to those who have voted.

Keyogi....how long does an informal poll like this run for (stupid ? but some guidance would be helpful) :)

As long as you want it to. If there is a clear favourite and you're happy with the amount of response, then I'd say your good to go.

Thanks Keyogi...for future votes and small polls i'll know to place a possible time limit.

Since this poll was started on Apr19 11:46 I'll give it just over 2 days and post the result after Apr 21 11:46...there is already a clear favourite emerging, but only a handful of people voting....but nothing wrong with that! :)

when you put up a poll you also have the option to set for how many days it will run. just put a number of days and it automatically closes.
so ask a mod to remove the old poll and put a new one with a set amount of time.

this map looks great, i love the colors, 1 and 8 look the best to me. my final final forge comment would be this.

the bonus box si really angular and in contrast to the curvy lines of the map. the bottom left corner is shooting some serious negative feng shui into the map. this is not harmonious. maybe you can make that a rounded corner. or if you wanted to get crazy, you could reduce the text size a bit, then make the whole box have curvy coastline with a beach, that might fit the theme better.

just a thought.

looks great :D . cant wait for this to be finished!
if you decide to change the legend and the title shapes, i dont think it would be detrimental at all... im just not sure if its beneficial. i think the boxes are fine.
Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."

Thanks Enigma. I'm not sure about the legend, I can see what is being said and when I think about feng shui, that corner is rather harsh pointing into the map. My concern is that if I change the outline of the legend it needs to follow roughly the shape of the coastline to be totallly effective in my eyes and that could prove a huge challenge. At this stage however, I'm not sure that I would change it.

Oh, and new map up for comment....The Valley Of The Kings....see below.

Love the map. The legend is OK, I don't think it could be improved much really without using hyphens in the cont names, which would just loook bad.

When can we play it?
