Well the war has been fun PACK. Thank you to the members of the team who played hard, made the games fun and stopped posting in their so called "harmless" manner here. You guys have some great players in your group, being new to EMPIRE I couldn't rate your play as compared to other clands but I know you guys did a good job from where I played. Best of luck to those players.

You see above, semgal "to the 6 to the 9" quoted me directly above his sentence. And then he replied directly to that quote saying "you have just..." In English, that "you" is understood to be about the person you quoted. Actually, most public schools took on a program called Shirley Temple (I may have the name wrong) where they would even have the students say out loud after the sentence "Who has just had their ass kicked by the Pack?", then answer their own question, "You did." Then ask again, "Who is you?" and again reply to themselves "Chuck is." They would gather that You = Chuck from being the person who previously spoke or was previously talked about in the sentence.

I see from the reply, that ljex understood all of this. I know he is in college, maybe they taught him this complex sentence structuring there, but I am guessing he probably learned it long before that. With this basic understanding, he replied to make a simple correction.

I can also see from the replies, that you have no basic understanding of these concepts because you proceeded to reply and make yourself look stupid. I fear that maybe even this post was a little complicated for you. If that is true, please reply using what little vocabulary you have. And I can try to direct you to some sites that are better equipped to teaching to the learning impaired than I am.

Oh my goodness. I just realized what a mistake I made. Here I am trying to explain subjective pronouns to you (griftron) and I use a bunch of them in the explanation. To make this more simple for you (griftron), I bolded all of the "yous" above that were talking about you (griftron).

I even highlighted a couple of verbs red in there, where there was an "understood you" also referring to you (griftron). We can get more into the "understood you" topic if you (griftron) really need to.

I apologize for making that assumption that you (griftron) were smart enough to understand that.

Many of their top players have jumped ship and gone to tofu so maybe we well face them again in the fall because Kort and TSM appear too wimpy to challenge us and or accept our challenge and thorta is irrelevant.

Good-natured joking and competitive trash talking is fine, but it's problematic when you twist the truth and use it to make yourself look good, and another clan look bad. You may think that the bullshit you spew is all in good fun, and many agree with you... but others do not. Furthermore, there is the problem of historical representation and discursive violence. By continually spinning the truth, you create and perpetuate a biased version of history, one that leaves out certain key facts. Say anything enough times, even something irrational, and it will ingrain itself in the conscious and subconscious thoughts of others. At some point, it's not a joke anymore, no matter how strongly you believe it is... it's just your perverted, twisted version of events. I believe that we as a community should put our foot down in cases like these, where past events are deliberately distorted and portrayed in a malicious, negative light... and then repeated over and over and over again, under the guise of "trash-talking," or, worse yet, "joking." When you leave out key historical facts, yet still structure your argument as if you're presenting the whole picture and know all the facts, you're committing an offense far more destructive and morally reprehensible than by merely lying outright.

I find THESE posts laughable as someone mentioned earlier. We have been called a clan of bunch of people that never finished middle school but no one takes offense to that comment.

Another very convenient decision you made was to leave out all of the posts making this same joke in other threads. I have seen a handful myself and I don't even look through that many threads, no telling how many there are. Those are more importantly why I came by to say anything.

You all want to poke fun at everyone you encounter (note: like others said, not just having friendly banter, but actually poke fun at your opponents), then you get your panties in a wad more than anyone when you are called out.

Seriously? Thota by far has one of the strongest lineups I've seen not too mention, a polite clan to boot. Take note pack.

I realize that a member of our clan might have taken a shot at your clan but have you not done the same to us on many occasions? This is getting a little ridiculous. The only thing I wanted to do with my post is to say publicly that I'm not a cowardly, low life, clan jumping miscreant. Mission accomplished with the post. The only other hope I had was that the remarks would stop. They have. That makes me happy, and if I'm happy, everyone's happy.
