There are several territories you just hate to hold in certain maps. They come under constant attack but if you dont try to hold them you are left exposed.
For me they would be
Middle East
Spain(Europe)
Tierra Del Fuego
Any territory with a flag in Tamriel
Any spaceport or wormhole/portal
on the europe map,i always have difficulty holding mediteranea even when i own africa and the near east.your enemys coming through moldova is realy hard to deal with.its happening in about 4 games with me at the moment

for me it would be north africa, at the beggining it generally seems SA is the most available continent which people go for, so they amass in europe and africa and SA and north africa takes a battering.
South America in Classic (Australia-size bonus with 2 borders instead of one, plus, one of those borders is with North Africa wich is, most likely, fortified and trigger happy )

exact opposite. i like SA. i'd take SA over africa any day
I've always hated defending Hawaii for that damn Oceania bonus in World 2.0. It's stuck out from the rest of Oceania, and under attack by both Asia and Mexico.
