Think of all the grain and plant life that is grown and then given to cows so that we can eat them....
Now give all of that grain and plant life directly to the people.
So, shall we all become vegetarians too?
Did you know that it takes 7000 lbs of water to get ONE pound of processed beef?
Take your talk abd shove it... Cannabis is a building material, a food supplement, you can make clothes out of it, etc...
You are a dumbfuck.

Señor Increible, a couple things. Firstly: I like your picture. Secondly: there is far more than enough food to go around in this world. People starve not because of scarcity of food but because of inequality of distribution. Thirdly: legalizing marijuanna would not change the food situation here in the U.S. because the amount of marijuanna that would be grown to support the demand would require a tiny, in fact negligible fraction of the land we use for agriculture (we also import a lot of food.)
Gracias Señor

Are you implying that drug use makes people successful? ROFL! Hardly...if anything it destroys their careers. (cough* Whitney Houston, Bobby Brown, Curt Cobain, Elvis Presley ... etc.)
Rush got addicted to prescription pain killers. Nice try.
Jay you are deluded. Also, bears defecate in forests.
Rush Limbaugh was a drug addict. Prescription painkillers are strong drugs, jay. So is nictoine.
The difference being that Rush was prescribed a drug for medical purposes. They can be addictive without the person wanting to develop a "habit". No, its not "good" to be addicted to prescription drugs....but they were given for a medical purpose. Your every day drug addict is not taking them for medical purposes.
I was prescribed Vicodin which can become addictive..... I used it to stop pain. Luckily I stopped using it before it became a problem. The "intent" of using it was to relieve pain. It could have become an addiction.
There is a small degree of difference between the two addicts. I think it lies with the intent when first using.
THE DEBATE IS OVER...

uh, whatever. Do you think any drug user (pot is not addictive, BTW) chooses to become an addict?
Rush limbaugh makes me sick, not because he became addicted to those painkillers but because his hypocristy in attacking other drug addicts was nauseating.

This one needs a prize, or at least some form of recognition, for offering what could quite possibly be THE MOST MORONIC, DUMB ASS POST I'VE SEEN YET!
Tommy Hobbes wrote:I think it's fairly obvious that a stoner's high is preferable to a drunk's rage. It's amazing how rarely you hear about someone getting high and beating their wife/child/doing major harm to themselves. The prime distinction between alcohol and weed as far as legalization is concerned is that Booze was invented by white christian guys (monks) in Europe, and weed wasn't. It was used by a lot of different people, most of whom ended up conquered by white christian guys from Europe. Jesus turned water to wine, not hay to hash. (I came up with that myself!) So it's a strange variety of social pressure that keeps weed illegal. Honestly stoners, it'd be less fun if it was legal don't you think? And all those people talking about how the government can tax pot? That just gives more money to the government! Why would you want that?! You big government liberals make me sick. Nanny state wimps.
Actually controling weed is close to impossible. unless you live in antartica(could you grow weed there? an experiment waiting to happen!) everyone could grow it in their yard, for whatever use they wanted. Its possible but difficult and far less proffitable(for them of course)
Whoever attributed the legalisation of weed to hunger is ridiculous!
Worst case scenario is well have to start producing more Cheetos!
I honestly believe that global legalisation could help save this pathetic little planet
Both George Washington and Thomas Jefferson grew hemp (yes weed). Jefferson once said that in order for the budding nation of the USA to have a bustling economy they should grow hemp for use in rope, clothing and the 1000 other uses of it. The only reason marijuana was criminalized was that in the 1920's it was seen as a "black drug" you see all the jazz musicians and working folk were toking because it helped them in their creative music endevours and just to take the edge off. Basically weed was criminalized to keep the poor people down. Did you know Napolean geve weed to his soldiers on the nights before battle because unlike alchohol there would be no hangover the next day. If anyone doubts this info look it up, its all true. in the words of Public Enemy: "Get your shit correct"
DirtyDishSoap wrote:Should we make Weed legal? (thought this would be interesting)
any1 who said no is paranoid
now it's the non-smokers who are paranoid?
Also, jay, a lot of MS sufferers get into trouble because they smoke weed to alleviate their symptoms.
You are making excuses for limbaugh. No one chooses to become an addict. He should have understood that before sounding off, and indeed before becoming a pillhead himself.
Also, i can't read your avatar, which means i can't tell quite how misguided it is. Do you have a bigger version?
jay, i have often held that only ex-addicts should work in rehab. The others, like you, tend to be self righteous, intolerant, and incapable of really understanding the hearts and minds of the addicts. Only a total moron would defend Limbaugh's addiction like you did. I have had a regular supply of Percocet since 1993, when i had half the bones in my body smashed in a bad bike wreck. My physician won't give me more than 60 every 2 months, which comes to about 1 a day. The prescribed dosage is 1 every 4 hours. I save them for when the pain is really bad, and therefore go many days without taking any. I live with pain every day, and it's like eating hot food - you get used to it. There are a lot of variables to this that i won't go into right now, but basically, a person who gets addicted to pain pills is the same as someone who is strung out on heroin, only more hypocritical. There are many kinds of pain, and you can't get perscriptions for most kinds. Are you even qualified to work in rehab? I guess when you have a captive audience it doesn't matter.
Regarding vote..... Hell Yes! You should be allowed to do whatever you want unless your actions has a negative impact on other humans.... or living beeings(kind of)

EXACTLY!!!
and the thirty people who voted NO probably dont have a reason, since it probably doesnt effect them in a negative way. If its legal or not.
Last year we had a election that would allow about a quarter of Weed to be legal,
Thats perfect for smokers, and keeps the government from having to compete with complete legalisation, unfortunately i live in a republican area. Where the churches told their ppl to vote NO( i know someone who did and would have legalised it) as we all know most stoners didnt vote, and it failed to go through. pretty close though! Damn you republicans!
