What is a Turk in the game? And you got role blocked?

I know one character who uses a gattling gun in FFVII but I'm not sure if it's specific enough to limit it to just that one.
From what you're saying it sounds like we're looking at a scum faction and an SK. I don't know flavor at all though.
me neither, i never expected flavor to be so important because it wasn't all that important in most other mafia's i've been in. and i also have no information whatsoever about the night actions either so i'm just going to wait till someone comes with some information or something as i have no idea what's going on, and i don't even know if the ones that died tonight are on the good side or on the bad side or 3rd party or something.
My best guess is that the Turks are a third-party faction. I am not sure if they would have a recruiter in there, or would just be survivors. No roles were given, and if anyone was a recruiter, it would probably be Tseng, so I doubt that. I expect we are dealing with at least 2 more Turks then (Reno and Elena).
The mako cannon makes sense for Shinra to use. Also, Barrett could be a vig. Knowing his temperment, it is possible he is overeager. In any case, tonight was a good kill, but I would be careful about shooting if not overeager.

I think Doom is spot on here. I'm not sure about how many other Turks there could be though, I don't know enough about the game
there are 4 main turks (the others would have no possibility of being in this game): Tseng is their leader. the other main ones are Reno, Rude, and Elena. they are contractors for shinra corp, but can be bought by the highest bidder and actually help AVALANCHE in the game. As for their role in this mafia game I am not sure. They engage in all sorts of activities in the game and movie. They are also body guards for Rufus. since there are two of them,
The first kill is obviously Shinra (mako cannon gives it away) and they would be pegged as mafia. the second one is defiantly Barret Wallace (gatling gun gives it away). I would peg Barret as a Town Vig in a heart beat.
I do believe there is a Serial killer in this game, but not any of the Turks. It does not fit their role. But it does fit Sephiroth who can (almost 90%) be guaranteed is in the game. It is weird that he got no kill last night, maybe he was role blocked?

I've never actually played the game just read up on it (plus some knowledge from others talking about it. But from what I did make out were likely bad guys are Sephiroth (who could be bulletproof as apparently most players find him very difficult to defeat (I know it's true in Kingdom Hearts from watching someone try again and again to kill him)) and the Shinra Corporation (who apparently own a giant Mako cannon). Beyond that Barrett was my guess as to the gattling gun kill too though from what I know of flavor I would agree with doom that he is more likely a vig. I don't know enough about him to deduce whether he is overeager or not. From what I've seen Sephiroth seems like the likely SK in this game while Shinra could be the mafia. If any of this seems inaccurate please inform me. I know it can probably be expanded upon.

I saved all three of my powers. I figured I was a good target to be moved/adjusted and did not want to kill a pro town role or get a false reading and lead to a bad lynching. I was sure town vig was going to kill me. mafia would want to mess with my roles. so I just stood pat. I kinda screwed the pooch day one and did not want to be the cause of any other issues.

Busdrivers would generally have to target the same person as you did to be effective. Knowing your role doesn't help them any. I also don't see how worrying about a vig killing you would prevent you from using powers. The only thing you would really have to worry about is a roleblocker, and from my understanding, you'd still keep that ability if it was blocked.
FOS wildwilliam. I hope you have a good story tomorrow.

what happens if I use a kill or an investigation and I am the one who is bus driven?
You are probabally right in your assumption Strike however I have a feeling those were each 3rd party. Shinra controlled the Mako cannon with the professor mainly at the controls but the fact that some of the turks died means they were not tied together to rufus as he "should" know who they are. Shinra itself would have to be a third party entirity which leaves the professor to control the cannon but I may be going on a limb here.
The gattling gun is definately barrett so thats that
As for a seph attack though, I dont see it being the Mako Cannon but more a meteor or blade strike. I dont think he ever actually came in contact with the Cannon except when it was shot at him.
As for other villians may also include jenova and the various weapons.
Im just confused on the cannon but since I havent played the game in a few years I may be missing something in regards to that.

I believe the cannon is shinra corp. the professor is a little obscure to be part of this game.

Nothing would happen unless you were busdriven into a roleblock. A kill would be more dangerous than an investigation as you could target someone and the busdrive moves it onto a townie.

I thought that if I was busdriven with another player our targets got switched. maybe I am thinking of a different role...? sorry
This is my 1st day speculation list that I've mentioned:
Town (14): Cloud v1. - lover/vig This may mean that Cloud is not a vig. Cloud v2. (emo Cloud) Tifa - lover/roleblocker Tifa is claimed to be a JOAT. Aerith - doctor Barret - Bodyguard Apparently a vig. Red XIII - cop Yuffie - thief Cid - busdriver Cait Sith - double-voter? Unlynchaeble? Reeve - enabler? Vincent - joat? Zack - beloved princess? Marlene - unlynchaeble townie Tseng - mafia betrayer?

I am not sure what role Strike Wolf has, but am I the only one who picked up on the fact s/he said Its become a trend to roleblock SW? So obviously they have a role that can be blocked. It doesnt help town if the mafia now know they have a power role, and it sure doesnt help the mafia if we now know they can kill. Maybe an SKer? I would personally like to see a little pressure on SW, after basically telling us s/he has a role. I would hate to rat out a power role, but I would sure as the world hate for no one to take notice of it if s/he is an SKer.

I agree, it's very odd that strike came out an told us he has a night action. I don't know that it's outing a power role any longer, as strike's already outed himself as "non-vanilla" if he is town.

I am a minor power role yes. I can't go into too much detail but the last time I admitted to being roleblocked it worked out well for town. Am I THE cop? No nor am I the doctor. I am just a role that was alerted that I was role blocked. I fail to see how that warrants putting pressuring me.

No, you aren't the only one that noticed it. I mentioned it immediately. I don't think that it means we need to pressure strike.
It could be a ploy. He could be scum trying to get on the side of townies. If I were scum, I would try to start setting up a soft fake claim early so that if pressured down the road, I have something to fall back on. If he is scum, what he did was a pretty safe play for the most part. However, I'm not sure that I buy the fact that he is scum. Although, it does seem like a good lead.
Well if it's heading down this road anyways I have a question for WW. I asked the mod and he did say I could ask this, however I want to know what the mod said your investigation results would say depending on an innocent or guilty result.
