I expect comments like this ingame from much lower ranked players, not on my wall from people who outrank me, he should know better. I played for the win and won "2011-12-19 20:29:56 - Round limit reached, misher has the most troops 2011-12-19 20:29:56 - misher won the game"

Thus I would usually expect a nice gg, well played, etc, not severe flaming, insults, and trolling of my wall. And someone of his rank+experience should know way better than this, if you could please warn him or something that would be appreciated.

Game chat is not an issue. No rules violated. The wall post however is bigotry. UNFORTUNATELY subprime deleted the wall message and misher didn't seem to bother taking a screen shot of it...

I did see the wall post back when this complaint was filed. It used a "faggoty" slur in re of mishers avi...

Hopefully one of the many many CC mods saw it.

Since the wall post was deleted before the mods could have checked it and it is no longer viewable by the public, at this time, a pm warning would suffice for this situation. Feel free to put subprime in your foe list so he won't be able to post at your wall again. This report has been noted for future reference.

Seriously? This game doesn't have minimal sportsmanlike conduct rules? I don't think I've ever played any game anywhere where calling someone a "fucking stupid motherfucking pussy" was acceptable. Not to mention an actual threat of physical assault. You MUST be joking.

Game chat is a lot more lax than the forums. If he had posted that in the forums then that would have been baiting and flaming. But in game chat it is just trash talking and wishing is not a valid threat BUT he was close enough to the line that this complaint was NOTED and subject to be used in case of a future complaint against him.

Now if he had posted is bigotry in game chat he would not have been able to delete it and it would have been a ban for him.

Yes, I realize this is the Internet. I've been an avid gamer on the Internet since the early 90s and spend most of my free time online and I have never played a game or participated in a community where that statement would be tolerated. I find it offensive that it is. Mind you, the statement itself doesn't offend me, but the attitude that such should just be tolerated and ignored is extremely offensive.

He apologized and said hes sorry, I honestly think he was just having a bad day, if you could close this and leave it unless it happens again it would be appreciated.

And just as a note, I would support some monitoring of in-game chat, some swearing is ok as banter, but excessive cases just ruin the fun of the game, this is a game that appeals worldwide, and should be a bit more polite, I find American's swear excessively at each other and laugh it off, but many of us come from cultures where these would be considered much more insulting.

If someone had said that to me in real life some very nasty things would happen to him. If you've ever played most games, there is quite a bit of this friendly banter, but once a week you'll have someone who just does it quite excessively and ruins the chat for you. You all have probably experienced this, and it serves no purpose but to antagonize.

That's the #1 go-to excuse all the racists, sexists, bigots and other miscellaneous assholes use when they spew their filth on forums/websites around the web. "It's the internet, deal with it". So what if it's the internet? Does the fact that we're communicating over a global electronic network make it somehow ok to do or say things that wouldn't be ok elsewhere?

Just because lots of people do a thing, doesn't make that thing ok.
