Memebase Mafia Game Over!

Edocsil is not apart of my survivor mason group anymore. He's a separate (unmasoned) survivor, I suppose.

As for the survivor part, that may be true, depending on what edoc says.

I was told in simple terms that I was cult, exact name, I have the PM. Then I was told in simple terms last night that I was no longer cult, I was 3rd party survivor. There is a bit more in the second PM that suggested that people who are culties would stay that way in the event of a cult leaders death making me an anomaly. That is more or less the reason I told the town this information in the first place, because it lead me to believe that victor was still a threat to the town.

Is a cult win condition always that cult overtakes town? It seems from Edoc's post that it could be more of a 3rd party survivor type cult (then again, I've never played mafia with a cult in it). While I do see a few good reasons for lynching Sully, he has helped us in the past, and everything went better than expected. If we can, it would probably be better to lynch a mafia member. Now may be a good time to analyze some of the votes from the day with the three lynchings. I'll look over some of that tomorrow or thursday, to see if I can find any patterns.

Usually, the win condition for cult is for them to outnumber town and for mafia to be all dead.

I'm somewhat torn here, on one hand, I think Sully potentially could be dangerous to town, but I don't see how you balance a cult recruiter with JOAT powers. But we're getting very close to deadline for Mets, and I haven't seen many better cases. With edoc now third party survivor and bulletproof, it seems like he's in a good position to work with town, but I cannot guarantee that to be true for any other recruits Sully may get.

Again, I think it's a question of risk/reward. Certainly, we could ask Mets to kill someone else, and that may be a mafia member, but it could also be a town power role.

Sully, while he isn't necessarily anti-town, represents a rather low risk kill with minimal impact on how close town is to winning, but it doesn't weaken us any more than what we're at currently.

Right. Granted, I've lied, but the Hipster Kitty's out of the bag, now, and I did follow through and help town kill off a mafia member. It seems most unfair that I should be tossed aside as repayment for my deed.

Well the deadline for a kill is today I think, and the only other lead discussed today was LSU for slightly suspicious vote patterns which I don't think is particularly suspicious.

Ah! The classic guilt trip, or appeal to emotion. You can't use this as a defense; game theory dictates that it was in your best interest to kill mafia and help town. Not only does mafia pose a threat to you, this act also made you appear more sympathetic to town.

Everything you have done is in the interest of your own survival, so killing the scummy should not mean that you get a free pass, or that we owe you anything. The only way you could claim we owe you repayment is if you had killed one of your own who proved dangerous to town.

like tails said. You helped us do something that was of mutual interest. To be honest safari paid you back by protecting you night 3. Cult leaders can't be allowed to live. On the other hand I have no problem leaving Edoc alive at least for the time being.

Yeah, because Edoc is in the unique position of being a bulletproof survivor, so mafia can't touch him. So it's easy for him to help town and still win. You don't really have that option and neither does anyone you recruit.

Yes lynch me. I am completely lying and I turned in my cult leader because I think our cult is big enough. All 3 of us cult goons (assuming victor AND I are lying through our teeth and we have had 1 successful recruit every night and one killed) agreed to turn in our leader and let me pull a fancy claim in the hope that we will survive better then the other factions.

If I was cult I wouldn't give you my leader. If I was somehow a usurper (is that even possible in a cult?) victor would be doing his best to get you to hang me right now. So lets go hang me, because I'm a lying cultist.

Give me more credit then that, I am not going to rely on dumb luck to see me to the end of a game.

I disagree with LSU about it being an inevitability but what I would agree with is DOWN the line checking into Edocsil. Tonight doesn't make sense as we'll need to find a mafia member with any investigative roles we may have left but later on in the game maybe.

Agreed with strike. Edoc doesn't necessarily need lynched. If he can still win in the end, then he can be lynched by the last of the town members anyway.

Wasn't Mets supposed to choose yesterday? I was thinking that he was suppsosed to choose on Wednesday.

I am 100% certain I am innocent under investigation (or 3rd party if they are that detailed), and bulletproof is easy enough to prove I suppose. So unless someone thinks I am a scumy with all those abilities it would be likely to say that, yes I am fairly benevolent towards the town. Anyhow, it's Thursday. Where is the Boss, dead or alive?

It is not yet currently the time at which a decision is required of me. When the time has come that I have been satisfied as to all the means and motives of those involved, I will decide, akin to a leader. Or if a deadline approaches.

Alright, so I'm trying to offer Mets something other than the Victor case, just to broaden his horizons... I feel kind of terrible for this, because they're both n00bs, but the large majority of JenBroness/usAir's posts are pure fluff. IIRC, the only serious posts of JenBroness' was a vote on Rodion (after Saf got an anti-town result), and a BW on an inactive. He presented no cases, and didn't really comment or add to others.

usAir, unfortunately, came in extremely late, so I can understand that he may have been overwhelmed by the large amount of posts. His only serious posts were his last, asking about the mechanics of cult, and his query about the case on shield (he's only had 5 posts, so 3 of the 5, 60% were fluff).

I usually don't like making cases against n00bs, but that doesn't necessarily excuse the tells they may drop, and since we seem to be lacking in cases other than Victor...

So against JenBroness/usAir I've got:

Posting large amounts of fluff
Voting an inactive BW (could be considered more fluff)
Voting an outed anti-town following investigation by a trusted townie (trying to appear more townish)
Almost no comments on any cases
Specifically to usAir, being overwhelmed by large amount of posts, can't escape his predecessor's image

By that last one I mean that he inherited JenBroness' slightly scummyish persona, can't do much to reverse it, at least imo.

I have to agree about it being a bit unfair to the replacement but that is a pretty decent lead.

@victor: That's easy to say but impossible to prove without putting the town in jeopardy. I don't think there's much choice but to lynch you.

I just want to mention that JenBroness is no longer on CC if I recall correctly.

He was in my stool pigeon mafia game, and had never even opened his role pm. I had to replace him early on Day 1. So we probably won't be getting anywhere by starting a wagon on him.
