Unless I'm mistaken no more than 2 teams from the same conference can be in BCS games. I think the more likely combination is LSU in national championship and Alabama in the Sugar bowl. I wouldn't overlook Georgia in the SEC championship though. I still don't think they are at the level of Alabama or LSU (And probably not Arkansas either for that matter) but they have shown great improvement since the beginning of the season.

In out of SEC news, Penn State mounts a comeback late against Nebraska but falls short. TCU stuns BSU at Boise. And an Oregon team playing extremely aggressive currently with the upper hand against Stanford 22-16.

The difference in how the two teams played was stunning. Oregon was hitting on all cylinders while Stanford seemed a bit uncomfortable.

Oregon set the tone early when they scored the first TD of the night
and went for the 2 pt conversion. Considering the 5 Stanford turnovers
in the game, they remained composed right to the end, but the Ducks
never let up. It was a good game played by two really excellent teams.

TCU scores a TD with just over a minute left in the game to pull back
within a point of Boise State and taking a page from the Broncos play
book, goes for 2 instead of tying the game with a PAT. A bogus looking
pass interference call on 4th & 10 from the 50 yard line extended the
final drive for BSU before a 39 yard field goal attempt sailed wide right
to end the game. The Horned Frogs threw for 475 yards and 5 TDs to
steal this one.

Texas A&M had the ball at mid-field at the end of regulation at Kansas
State and played conservative for 3 plays before giving up possession.
Then lost in a quadruple OT.

Wyoming prevailed over a really good Air Force team and Georgia is now
in the driver seat to the SEC Championship Game to face LSU or Arkansas.
The BCS tightens up with eight one loss teams ranked in the Top Ten.

Boise, Stanford out of the NCG picture. Stanford could very well drop from the Fiesta, I'm predicting an upset vs Cal this week.

OK St - LSU in the NCG.

I didn't think Boise State was ever in the Championship Game picture based on strength of schedule alone. Alabama and Oregon both have a single loss to #1 LSU so I expect them to face Oklahoma State if both teams remain unbeaten for the BCS Championship.

Stanford vs Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl would make an interesting matchup
and Boise/Oregon vs Oklahoma State/Oklahoma/Arkansas depending on how
it all plays out from here would also be sweet.

If Oklahoma trips up Oklahoma State it would seem Alabama still has a shot
at a rematch with LSU in the Title Game.

As a Wisconsin fan I would love to get to the Rose Bowl, but that requires a lot of wins in a row to even be possible. Our focus is on Illinois.

It's looking like a rematch of LSU vs Bama in the BCS Championship Game
and where does Arkansas rank after loses at the top ranked teams?

I wouldn't have them drop too far but the BCS probably would.

I would like to see Bama get a rematch seeing as they would have won the first if their kicker hadn't choked more than once. However I doubt it will happen for the same reason we didn't see an Ohio State Michigan rematch a few years back and it is probably be better that way.

I don't perceive this situation to be the same as the previous Ohio State/Michigan
show down and believe LSU & Alabama are clearly the best teams this season.
Both have extreme strength of schedules supporting them and I'm guessing
the Oklahoma/Oklahoma State game will be a factor.

If OU beats OSU that helps the Crimson Tide.
Current BCS Standings
1 LSU 12-0 1.000
2 Alabama 11-1
.9551
3 Oklahoma State 10-1 .8712
4 Stanford 11-1 8.20 .8552
5 Virginia Tech 11-1 .7811
6 Houston 12-0
7 Boise State 10-1
8 Arkansas 10-2
9 Oregon 10-2
10 Oklahoma 10-2

The SEC has 5 teams ranked in the BCS Top 15

I'll be disappointed if Houston / Boise State get left out of a BCS Bowl, which at least one of them probably will (probably Boise if Houston Wins out). I'd much rather see them play some 'big competition' than your standard run-of-the-mill BCS games.

Because like most conferences they are separated into two sides. Plus they've already played once and Alabama lost so LSU gets the opportunity to go to the championship.

LSU has had a phenomenal season and the OT win at Bama was huge among all the ranked teams they faced this season. I'm wondering now if Georgia was to extend their win streak by upsetting the Tigers in the SEC Championship Game what their fate might be. Can a SEC Title Game loss knock LSU out of the BCS National Championship Game?

I'd say the interception at the goal line in the 4th Quarter of the LSU/Alabama game was the biggest play of the year. Without it the Crimson Tide's field goal woes wouldn't even come up in conversation.

btw... Boise State and Oklahoma State both missed game winning field goals at the end of regulation that would have kept them both undefeated.
TCU won at BSU by 1 pt in regulation and OSU lost at Iowa State in double OT.

Some say that real men would not need helmets, elbow pads, knee pads, cups and other assorted armour to play a contact sport.

I would agree.

It contains no ignorance. It actually possesses remarkable insight.

Hard men fear no pain. They play sports like rugby in shorts and a jersey, not stopping even if someone is rendered unconcious.

Sissies live in fear of blood and bruises. They wear a shield over their entire head (including face) for a game that involves pushing each other over and then stopping while they get up.

You're mistaken again. You obviously can't distinguish the significant difference
in the way these games are played. Your ignorance of the sport reveals no insight
at all, since the tackles of football are illegal in rugby and would get any player a
red card and immediate ejection from the match.

Don't go away mad, just go away and revel in your ignorance elsewhere.
I'm sure there are other topics on this forum for you to troll and exhibit
your limited knowledge on a wide variety of subjects.

Last week the SEC West had the top 3 teams in the country
and their only loses are against each other. Tomorrow we
get to see Georgia put their 10 game win streak on the line
against #1 LSU.

Listening to the TV announcer you might have thought UCLA
had a chance and that the game was closer, but Oregon was
easily too much for the Bruins. That final touchdown catch
by UCLA was a thing of beauty though.
